So the Peter Principle didn’t work out for Tisei, eh? He has been a fixture (npi) in Mass for 26 years, amazing longevity for someone in the Republican party there.

Definitely. I had lunch with he and 2 others a year ago and so had the chance to talk up close, and he is very much a Lingle “Republican” - but a very nice fellow, and intelligent.

Neel Kashkari, "Republican" (ha ha) candidate for California governor. Of three Republicans I know off the top of my head, all voted R and conservative down-ticket, but left the governor's race blank because there was no third party or write-in option.
So Kashkari got something like a piss poor 43 percent, and Jerry Brown got 57 percent.
Served the GOP right.
