A Detroit man, who has been jailed for not paying a child support bill for a child that everyone agrees is not his, now faces a $30,000 charge for the same child.
I feel like Im standing in front of a brick wall with nowhere to go, said Carnell Alexander, the man facing the bill.
Detroit agrees with Mr. Alexander that the child in question is not his, but insists that he must pay regardless.
The state of Michigan said that Mr. Alexander father a child in 1987, and demanded that he pay back child support over two decades ago. He ignored the order, knowing that he did not have a child, and a DNA test proved it.
But that wasnt good enough for the government. When Mr. Alexander brought this overwhelming information into court, the judge stated the case was closed and that wasnt going to change. I gotta pay for the baby, said Alexander.

It used to be the rage of state and municipal judges and their families to ride around in their vehicles with special judge tags. I guess that was to immunize them from laws, rules, and penalties. Well, I've noticed the practice has stopped by a large percentage. I know of several judges and their families who have chosen to become a bit more inconspicuous in traffic.
Government is supposed to fear it's citizens.

Yes, now it is Firemen with the plates that prevent tickets.

The State (Pimp) says you gotta pay for having sex with its hooker (somebody else’s baby mama). SMH
Has anyone ever done the math when it comes to how much each of us individual Tax Payers are on the hook for all the illegitimate b@stards out there?
I guess you could divide all the TRILLIONS spent on, ‘The War on Poverty’ by all the tax returns in the USA?
Depressing. This guy is only on the hook for $30K. Again, wonder how much each of US have paid in through the years...
Forget the “war on women” this is the continuing “war on men” and “war on fathers”; especially evident in divorce proceedings and child-support awards.
Hate to say it, but I suspect that Mr. Alexander VOTED for these same people that are ruining his life.
It is his right to vote for men-hating Democrats, and it is my right to not have any sympathy for what happens to him from those people.
It's the law of the land. It passed with support on both sides of the aisle.
It's a Hell's stew of traditional, common law passed down from hundreds of years (which DNA testing has rendered moot) with a helping of anti-male malice from the left...seasoned with a salt/pepper combination of "we can cut welfare budgets if we hang it around some guy's neck!" from fiscal conseratives and "A real man would just shut up and do the responsible thing, pay and quit whining" of social conservatives.
What each have in common, of course, is a vision of the greater good which they proposed to serve by turning men into beasts of burden with no choice or rights, only obligations.
There's an especially warm spot in Hell reserved for them.
One of these days, they are going to F with the wrong person, and the guy is going to nut up.
This is fairly common among the states (to pay for a child who is not yours), even though very wrong.

didn’t this also happen to a guy in Texas a couple years back?
“fraternal order of police” are popular specialty plates here in Michigan.

He chose to not contest the original letter. In the state’s eyes, that I tantamount to admitting guilt.
Assanation, anyone?
