Boy is it getting ugly.
As democrat candidates lose ground, they become more desperate and vicious. Wendy Davis has already derided Greg Abbott for being in a wheelchair and now she slides right into the gutter:
Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis earlier this month was pilloried in the press for her attack ad that prominently highlighted the fact that her Republican opponent Attorney General Greg Abbott uses a wheelchair. Davis took her attacks to a new level on Monday by strongly implying Abbott would support an interracial marriage ban, despite the fact that Abbott is married to a Latina. But less than three hours later, Davis again topped herself by forwarding an attack on Abbott about an unlikely issue: dildos.In an emailed press release, Wendy Davis For Governor passed along an article from progressive magazine The Texas Observer entitled “Greg Abbott: Dildos? Against ‘em. Interracial Marriage? No Comment.” The piece attacks Abbott for his supposed reluctance to say whether he’d defend interracial marriage and his defense of Texas’ ban on the sale of sex toys.
Meanwhile, the Kay Hagan campaign has pumped out some campaign leaflets that suggest should she lose the election Barack Obama will be lynched:

That is a great ad-I see it a couple of times at least when I watch my fav novela in the evening on Telemundo-they’ve been running it for a couple of months, along with another one that shows him ambulating with the wheelchair, and talking about the good stuff he has done-I only see one Davis ad on Telemundo, and that one rarely-it is the one about school funding-none of the really bad ones, and nothing about abortion/pro choice or anything like it...
Whats important to understand here is that these are deliberate, planned attacks.
So don’t look at the attacks, but rather who the attacks are designed to appeal to.
In this case it’s single women and blacks. Precisely the groups the Dems need to maximize turnout among in order to win.
We’re in an era of microtargeting at an incredibly granular level. The calculation here being that while this won’t cost Davis any votes (people who will be offended are going to vote for Abbott anyways), it could very well gain her votes, potentially a lot of them, from specific key demographic groups.
“Wendy Davis” and “Dildo” - Two word that you really don’t want to hear in the same sentence. That is a mental image that I really don’t need.
Unfortunately, they seem to appeal to lost soul voters.
She's just trying to stimulate her failing campaign.

She sent a plant to a Greg Abbott Meet & Greet, today. We circled around the Davis plant, just in case.
I’m not a prude, but for goodness sakes, is nothing private anymore? This shows how disgusting she is - women who want to purchase sex toys can do so, and I feel lots of liberal women NEED them because their men are so emasculated, but still, the fact that she feels it is something to bring up shows what white trash she really is. A good nose job and expensive hair coloring doesn’t change who you are inside.
Davis’ entire political world seems to be focused on genitalia and reproductive organs.
I wish women would start saying we are MORE than our genitals.
