I may be one of the biggest Rush fans in Freeperland, but Geddy's voice may be the one only flaw in the band. Of course the band is in the top 5 in each of their trades, (Peart No. 1 of course),
That said, it is hard to imagine Rush with any other voice, but one could wonder what would have happened if a fourth member had been employed with a superior voice.
She used to be super hot. Age has crept up on her.
And such a sin to waste such a gift.
I am not a fan of the pop genre, more death metal and I have fronted a local band. Does she deal with a vocal coach?there are some good ones out there. The one I am most familiar with is Mellisa Cross, who works with the whole gamut from opera to pop to extreme metal.
I do not know of 1 song by her.
I can name many others but practically none from the last 20 years (not counting some country songs) as the lyrics and music are not memorable. Just a mishmash of noise.
I’ve sung for about twenty years and feel I have a pretty good idea what is going on here. Singing is work, it is physcial, emotional, and very much mental. You have to be motivated and have confidence enough to relax and let it flow, otherwise you lose pitch and tone, and suffer problems connecting registers and top and bottom. Her husband just dumped her while cheating on her less than two months ago— she is going through a rough time, probably depressed, not working out, not doing any voice training and completely unmotivated with her head not in the game. Maybe drinking and other unhealthy habits in the mix. I wish her the best.

You might not like this song, but ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU is now a Christmas Season standard like JINGLE BELL ROCK and the others.
She actually wrote and performed it.
And then there’s the other song — HERO, which even Tenors like IL DIVO perform in their concerts. And yeah, she wrote that song too.
Even Geddy now sings 2112 an octave lower than he used to in the Seventies. He knows his limitations, unlike many of these diva types.
Without lip syncing and Autotune, the popularity of "pop' music around the world would crash hard.

They are best known for that “Bomb Iran” record (to the tune of the Beach Boys’ “Barbara Ann”) that hit hot rotation during the Carter Administration.
now that’s a mental picture one could do without.
