And if ‘banning’ is too strong a word, we should AT LEAST quarantine ALL passengers upon arrival. I read a post that it only takes 24 hours for the blood test to determine infection.
Frankly, I think it’s also reasonable to ban non-essential flights as well. I would hate a skilled doctor to get infected by someone else during the flight or quarantine for no good reason.
For that matter, we could have plastic barriers between passengers on these flights and perhaps lysol in the air.
Mutation, especially when through cross breeding such as with influenza can produce a virus that is able to infect new hosts. If a pig gets a flu from strain X while also having strain Y a new strain emerges that can now infect new species that was previously not a host for one of the two. I would save the use of the word mutation to cover such events.
