The document is very clear. And the purpose was to have the exchanges run by the states...period.

Roberts will rescue them.

This only works when a “federal judge” sides with the liberals.
Conservative judges, not so much.

Does anyone know the actual effect this ruling has on IRS operations. I assume a time was left open for appeals. But would the judge have any power to enforce his ruling. And if so then what kind of penalties could he enact to force compliance with the ruling. Won’t the IRS just laugh at him in this day and age.

Roberts will rescue them.I'm not so sure. This one is actually pretty clear. Like the ruling states: If Congress wants to fix this they can do it with a very simple bill that changes the law. That is not the role of the courts.

Finally a beheading that might provoke a comment from the White House.

This should be a slam dunk even for the most retarded court. It was in an early draft and removed.

I miss the rule of law, but from time to time I wonder if it might return. My guess: probably not while the druggie is in our White House.
The court is correct. ObamaCare explicitly requires state exchanges for the subsidies, and even the petty thug in charge lacks the authority to spend that money in violation of the law.

Glad some GOOD LAWYERS took this on amid rather gloomy circumstances. Must have been a pain in the arse.
