2014 Democrat candidates are facing a daunting challenge--- the White House’s handling of the border crisis has endangered Democrats. Disgruntled Dummycrats themselves are backing off reform---reaffirming America's view that reform was a crack-brained idea to begin with.

POLITICO.COM REPORTS--as midterms loom three "reform-minded" groups launched by business titans are all but silent on the campaign trail. No ads on immigration reform are airing. Even more illustrative of reform's toxicity---Senate Republican candidates in battleground states are launching attack ads against Democrats accusing them of supporting “amnesty,” leaving pro-immigration reform candidates even more vulnerable and immigration reform even less likely to happen.

"Republicans for Immigration Reform" launched by Citigroup exec Carlos Gutierez has no plans to launch a counteroffensive. Despite being billed as the GOP rainmaker on immigration reform, the group has struggled to make inroads with big GOP donors. “the problem at the border and the president’s rhetoric on executive action have totally poisoned the well,” said Charlie Spies, who helped organized Republicans for Immigration Reform. “I don’t think anybody believes anything can happen this year.” Also in dire need of political viagra are "reformers" Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and billionaire Michael Bloomberg. No doubt about it: President Obama's open-borders policy is exposing us to disease, too. In a background press briefing at the U.N. last Tuesday, a senior State Department official said Secretary of State John Kerry told his counterparts from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico that the pause in minors coming across our southern border was temporary, and that "we have to use this time to put in place more efforts, greater efforts to get at the root cause of this, because we know that those numbers may rise again."

The next wave may be worse than the first, however, because monsoon conditions, a harsh drought and the globalization of transport are ensuring that the 50,000 or so unscreened new entrants will be bringing a raft of new diseases with them.

Though little reported, the Caribbean is on high alert for the spread of chikungunya, known as "the virus of pain." Its Tanzanian-origin Bantu name means "to contort," describing the agony it leaves in joints for years. Some 183,000 cases were detected in the region this year as it spreads from the same mosquitoes that transmit dengue and yellow fever.

Central America, according to a report in El Pais, is the epicenter. Puerto Rico has reported 2,000 cases and three deaths. But the disease has worked its way up to the U.S.; Texas and Florida reported victims who have already contracted it without traveling to the affected regions. WASHINGTON—T h e department career service in the bureau designed justice, which has taken over the United States immigration service along the Canadian border as well as that at the Mexican line, today was reported preparing to militarize the border patrol to prevent foreign agents
from seeping through into this country through loopholes which existed herebefore.

Treasury officials say they want a veritable “Scotland Yard” force at the borders as a precautionary measure against possible “fifth column” activities which is more feared nowwith continued successes by Nazi forces abroad.

At the outset, it is said, the present force of 783 immigration officers is to be increased to 1,600. It will be
known as the border patrol along both north and south borders of the United States.
The patrol in northern New York from Buffalo to the Vermont border will be increased substantially according
to plans. The present force is under the direction of Director Arthur J. Karnuth. The number of agents under his control will be increased from 200 to 500.

The treasury department, which took over the immigration service from the department of labor as of June 14, has disclosed that it will revitalize the immigration forces with the aim of modeling it along the lines of the federal bureau of identification. Tentative plans call for annual
salary increases in all categories, with inspectors and border patrolmen scheduled to receive $2,600 a year,
and the better jobs ranging up to $3,500 and $4,000. Along with this an effort will be made to establish a

Vote-crazed Obama's amnesty plan is calculatedly crafted to screw Americans bigtime. It will include work permits, photo ID's and Social Security numbers for millions of border jumpers, for those who overstayed their visas (like the Boston bombers) and for those who defrauded US immigration authorities.

STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANEAs 2009 unfolded, Obama encouraged latino activists to believe he was committed to introducing a comprehensive reform bill. After a WH meeting, Rep. Luis Gutierrez, (Dem-Ill) told reporters Obama had promised a bill “in the very near future.”

And who could forget the imbecilic Gutierrez strutting around, crowing about "having the votes" to pass the Senate bill in the House? When that failed, latino pressure groups then segued to getting Obama to E/O amnesty.

REALITY CHECK.......a tsunami of 2014 voter polls indicate massive voter revulsion for Democrats---a decisive vote of "no confidence." So much so that Democrats forced Obama to delay his plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegals---hoping to stave off disaster to protect uneasy Democrats from voter wrath in November.....

But slimeball Democrat Rep. Luis Gutierrez (Dem-Ill), the leading mouthpiece for amnesty giveaways, isn't taking Obama's dismissal lying down. Gutierrez said the Congressional Hispanic Caucus will meet to determine a formal response.

“No more excuses, I don’t care what senator is dangling in the wind, I don’t care what Republican proposal is being made,” he said. “I don’t care what happens. We are moving forward.”
