Now go into the wayback machine and see basically the same set of comments and predictions about Gen-X, the Baby Boomers and probably the generations before that.

There seems to be a lot of articles out there written by millenials. This country is in big trouble if this is really they way the majority of them think.
Few points ...
While Winston Churchill made that famous comment about being Liberal vs being Conservative, the young/heart vs. older/brain aspect applies to other things as well. The Baby Boomers largely underwent a transformation from the peace/love/dope 60s to Swinging 70s to the Yuppie/Greed-is-Good 80's of Ronald Reagan. This may be what the Millennials believe now, but it's not going to be what they believe 10-15 years from now.
The ones holding these views might indeed be a majority. Which means that they'll get eaten alive by their generation's minority. AND by the Xers, who will see, already are seeing those traits and figure out how to exploit them. AND quite likely the generation after them, who (if past generational experience is any indicator) will be considerably more rooted in reality.
Finally, my kids are the ones in the yet-unnamed post-Millenial generation. They're being raised based in the logic/reason-driven reality I mention above, with good morals and a solid work ethic. I'm betting that societal Darwin is going to come into play, and that they'll end up doing very well in life.

"Angels and Ministers of Grace, save us from yet another generation that thinks it discovered sex."
Generational solidarity is so thin a concept as to be essentially non-existent. It's an illusion, convenient perhaps as a marketing tool and for propaganda, but a flimsy substitute for self reliance and the inevitable, unavoidable responsibilities that arise from our inescapable knowledge of good and evil.

Mellinials, or at least what is presented here, are the logical result of an oppulent society that rewards the dependent. Many of the attitudes presented, when left to nature, would lead to starving in the cold and dark. As it is our society is (currently) wealthy enough to indulge them and our government is happy to create more and more dependents.

Well, they broke new ground when they voted 66% for Obama.
They are truly something different.

That’s the point. They have too many forums.
Most young people think they’re going to be different than previous generations but they didn’t have the easy access to the media.
Ignore them,they’ll grow up.

A few of the things in that list are very conservative and desirable. That said, most are anarchy waiting to happen and outright crap.
Some millenials are normal and have their heads screwed on straight. Some have and take advantage of the wisdom of standing on the shoulders of generations before and seeing further.
My daughter just finished 8 years in the USAF on F22s, the 117 and on Hagel’s Doomsday plane. Her best friend just bought a house in Vegas and works a great job in the casinos. Another friend went the more traditional route, came home from college, did the married with kids thing and is a cop.
We even have a few freepers on the board that are millenials that show a metric ton more sense than their older ‘GOP no matter what” fellows. So good ones do exist.
Most, in my experience though, are as described by the list and headed for a rude awakening.

51. They have no experience or much of any knowledge, but think they can argue with those that do by looking everything up on their Smartphones for the answer.
I have dealt with these types more than a few times. Amazing, does not matter what the topic, they are experts at it, if for no other reason than to argue against your viewpoint.
To: MNDude
I don’t see the younger generations as anywhere near as “profound” or “threatening” compared to the 60s, early 70s.
