Female Democrat Heavyweights Assert “Congress Is out of Touch on Women’s Issues”
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 19 Sep 2014 | John Semmens

A roundtable discussion at the Center for American Progress agreed that “Congress is out of touch on women’s issues.” Contributors to this conclusion included former Secretary of State and aspiring Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton, Democratic Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY) and Patty Murray (Wash), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif), and Rep. Rosa DeLauro (Conn).

“Women bear nearly 100% of the physical burden of procreation, yet do not exercise 100% of the power to determine how these children shall be raised and cared for,” Clinton observed. “Women who are married have to share authority with their children’s fathers. This cultivates feelings of dependency that eat away at women’s self esteem.”

Sen. Murray pointed out that “while all children have equal needs, not all have access to equal resources. The children of fathers with good jobs can enjoy a more enriched life experience. Children whose fathers are absent, unemployed, or in jail are deprived of their rightful share of life’s bounties.”

Rep. Pelosi suggested that “a just society would even out the discrepancies. Ideally, all earnings from all fathers would be put into a common pool and be doled out based on children’s needs. Children wouldn’t be penalized because their fathers were inadequate providers. The more productive fathers’ outputs would be shared more broadly rather than be used to spoil their own offspring.”

Sen. Gillibrand warned that “we mustn’t get hung up on the idea that every woman wants to be a mother. If Congress really respected women it would fully guarantee that every one of them can obtain an abortion at her own discretion. Our only hope of bringing this fundamental principle of justice to America is to support Democrats at every level of government. We must end the obstructionism and patriarchy embodied in the Republican Party.”

Is it possible that ‘woman’s issues’ are out of touch?

Aren’t wymyn’s issues the same as men: jobs, low taxes, economy, available low-cost energy, defense and border security, getting government out of the way? What else is there? Since I pee standing up and own guns I may be out of the loop.

Not at all true...they cannot have children unless they are scre$ed by a man first...they always want to forget they can’t become mothers without fathers.

LOL

Right.

There is no place a woman won’t get a job over a man.

There’s no place a woman will not win child custody over a man...no matter how bad a mother she is

There’s no place a woman will not receive heaps of taxpayer funded assistance for raising as many bastards as she wants or is capable of producing

There is no place a woman will not be promoted over a man no matter how bad a job she does

This list can go on forever.

I don’t GET how women and minorities in the US have any grounds to complain about ANYTHING. The system is set up so most of them can stay home and never work, while living better than they could if they actually had jobs.

What’s wrong with making some good decisions and getting off your lazy a$#es ... work ain’t fun but then you own YOURSELF instead of being an adult ward of the state.

as bad as congress is this is nothing more than a ploy by the democrats trying to keep the focus off of theirs and obozo’s radical anti-American agenda and actions to tank this country. Same with the NFL issue and with the complicity of the MSM any red herring will do.

"Women bear nearly 100% of the physical burden of procreation," Clinton observed.

I think she underestimates the burden of doing with her, that which is required for traditional procreation.

The Republicans hate women card is overworked and will fail this time. The race card is dead—the Class card is dead—the only thing the Progs have is the women card—it worked when Obama was running—will not work now.
