This writer is correct. Many of us have been saying the same thing here
trying to raise the warning flags.

The National GOP has no message, no vision, no plan on what they will
do with power, if given power.

Democrats bad, Harry Reid evil will not be enough.

I noted in my piece that the wave didn’t become apparent in 2010 until October. A wave is still possible. My point was less about whether there will be a wave and more a critique of Republican strategy. Even if there is a Republican wave this year, it seems to me that by doing nothing other than hoping voters hate Democrats more than Republicans the GOP is wasting a golden opportunity. How many close Senate races will be lost because the national GOP didn’t have a message or a strategy? One or two could be the difference in taking the Senate if there is no wave. If there is a wave, one or two could be the difference in putting a stranglehold on the Senate for 2-4 additional years.

I believe you are right on!

They want a measured win, not a sweeping election for the reasons you
mentioned.

I have never felt certain that we would regain the majority in the Senate this year. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we do.

If we lose, it will be blatant fraud by dems, coupled by malaise on our part. We lose this time because of fraud, 2016 is already over.

Er... I hate to be the one that tells you this... but it's done been over. Since 2012.

The National GOP is better staying out of these races.

Mid-term Congressional/Senate races are “local” in focus. The best the National GOP can do is fund Congressional/Senate candidates sufficiently to offset Soros and the rich libs anti-American bankrolling.

The left’s MSM friends are helping all they can, that’s what this WaPo thingy is all about, rose colored light for the dems.

That's why if someone says "2014/2016 is the most important election in our lifetime" I will clock them clean in the puss.

The most important election in our lifetime is already over. It was the 2008 Republican Primary.

I don't think you'll find a National GOP Platform for any of the non presidential elections.
2012 National GOP platform

National GOP interim year meetings:

However many state GOP parties issue a platform. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=2014++gop+state+platforms>

Where is Bonehead and McConnell’s vision for America if the get the
power? Nowhere to be found, that is where.

That is why this coming election will not be as sweeping as many people
think.

You can brush it off, if you wish. But Americans need something to vote
for, not just against.

Last I heard, Cotton was doing pretty well. I don’t worry about AR. NC is closer than it should be. No feeling there, but my feelings usually suck anyway. The Republican in AK was surging last I looked.

It’s not our fault you support a bunch of lying traitors and whine when we call you on it.

Oh wait,it is all our fault. We have been stupid enough to believe the lies of the GOP for decades.

I have voted GOP every election since the 1980s—holding my nose for more than I can count. I have served on GOP executive councils, was a state delegate, worked phone banks, been door knocking, sign waiving, did fund raising. I doubt you’ve done more in the GOP than I, but I’m done. I didn’t ask to leave the party, they have told us we are no longer welcome .

I don’t ask what your party has done for me, I ask what has your party done to my country?

What agency has been shuttered?

What budget has been cut?

What liberty has been gained?

What progressive agenda has been stopped?

Why should we support your party again?

Talk to someone who has respect for you because your kind are completely unworthy of it.

I have noticed this “depress the vote” meme.

The left is trying to create groupthink to make their victory astroturf natural.

Reality dictates another result.

The fact is simple. Obama needs these democrats. America need ANYONE other than democrats in congress.

Every single republican is running against Obama.
Every single democrat candidate is just a surrogate for Obama.

The issue is less an official national platform and more a national strategy focusing on specific issues. In 1994 the Contract with America laid out a very clear vision of what the GOP would do if it were in control of Congress. The GOP has nothing like that today, they’re not even trying in that regard.
