Rick Perry, Texas Blues & The Liberal Two-Step
Self | 8/14/14 | Me

Posted on 08/15/2014 9:36:18 PM PDT by xuberalles

So let me get this straight; Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg – also the head of the Public INTEGRITY Unit – is convicted of aggravated DUI. When she refuses to resign for behavior unbecoming of her office – accountability is foreign to most liberals - Governor Rick Perry promises to veto the 7.5 million budgeted for the Integrity Unit. And for this, something presidents and governors practically do on a weekly basis, he is indicted on felony coercion charges by a heavily Democratic-laden, Austin grand jury? Oh, something definitely stinks in the Lone Star state and it’s called dirty politics. With just under three months to Election Day, liberals are desperate to install party nutjob extraordinaire, Wendy Davis, atop of the Texas pyramid. Why? One, progressives will do anything to paint Texas blue; albeit by gerrymandering, eliminating voter ID, removing the National Guard from the border, or outright amnesty. Two, Texas – with its low taxes and business friendly environment – stands as a beacon of liberty and economic prosperity; a success story that stands in direct contrast to Obama’s decaying welfare state.

This entire fiasco is nothing but an obvious and petty ploy to taint Mr. Perry’s name and plant a seed of criminality in voters’ minds. Coercion isn’t holding a public servant accountable for behavior unbecoming of her elected office and appointed task force; coercion is putting a gun in someone’s back and forcing them into your car. Ms. Lehmberg had a choice and she chose wrong. Now the Governor is fully within his rights – like all of his fellow gubernatorial constituents – to withhold money from an office that does not comply with common sense standards. (Yes, Barack Obama threatens vetoes almost daily for the most inane reasons) Ultimately, I have no doubt the Governor will be cleared of these vindictive charges once he’s defended before an impartial jury, it’s just a sad indictment of our society that the duplicitous and divisive politics of Rosemary Lehmberg and Wendy Davis converge to unhinge one of the last strongholds of our American republic.

He should make a campaign ad out of it.

*************

What position is Perry running for in this fall’s general election?

Real high class fella...

As for Watts, he is so toxic the Dumbocrats told him not to buy anymore politicians, because his name on the donor list embarrassed them.

Are they the same clowns in Travis County who railroaded Tom Delay? Austin is BRIGHT Blue for sure . . . and they are desperate to distract from the failure candidate Wendy Davis.

Is bully-ing in the conventional definition, a criminal act???

Is there a prosecutable or punitive action that can be assigned to this claim???

I believe if I brought this to any legal type you run across they’d probably say no...

I guess Austinitis strikes again...Its about as dangerous as Ebola...

I wonder if we cn somehow get this case/hearing changed to a different venue than Austin, Texas???

Forget Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Waco...

I’m thinking more like Amarillo or Somewhere in Wood County (Deep Northeast Texas)...

I believe the jury pool in those two areas might be amiable and impartial...

Just my opinion...

And when all is said and done, those who engineered this shouldn’t they be charged with judicial misconduct???

Just thinking outside the box...

Perry is being targeted for destruction because the Party doesn’t like him even attempting to secure the border. The local rats in Austin are doing baraq’s bidding.

And where is the RNC to defend Perry?

If this were a Democrat the DNC would be all over the place showing they have the Governor’s back.

But from the RNC? Crickets.

The GOP is useless.

This isn’t anything new. IMHO These same type commie/symps torched the Governor’s mansion as well. If the current political majority doesn’t suit them they will burn your house down.

Best news of the week. He is a RINO and if this helps him to NOT run again for President than I thank the state of Texas.

First they came for Perry.....

The problem with the Republicans is they don’t fight back.

I think the Republican/Conservative government of Texas should unofficially declare war against the democrat Officials of Travis County and Austin City.

Audit the businesses and harass the hell out of anyone who sat on the Grand Jury. Go after not only the Travis County District Attorney, but his rancher friends, country singer friends, golf club friends—whatever it takes.

Fight them as they fight you, but be harder, more vindictive and much more ruthless.

It seems to me that the governor of Texas could have the whip hand here if he just used it.

Why should I care about the Republican Party if they don’t even bother to fight?

It really makes you wonder about them, and what the hell they think they’re doing, huh?

It reminds me of all those Shi’ite Iraqi troops last month who surrendered to ISIS, and were subsequently beheaded or shot while leaning over their own grave. How could you surrender to them knowing this is what they’re going to do? Fight like your whole life depends on it, because IT DOES! At LEAST save the LAST bullet for yourself!

Same with these Republicans... Do they actually think the democrats are going to show them mercy? Are they really that stupid?

Or is it all a game they play to make us think they hate each other, instead of just a bunch of thugs working together to skim the cream off of our milk?

I don’t agree with Perry on everything single thing but I can’t think of one politician that I do.

Isn’t it strange that only Cruz is standing up for him?

And stranger that Axelrod is warning the RATS off this?
