Here you are calling for Romney to ruin a THIRD presidential cycle, and you admit that you are a retread.

What was your old name here?

GOPe is trying to destroy conservatism. They want to triangulate buyer remorse democrats with moderate whigs and screw conservatives with a flaming liberal rino.

It's so crazy it just might work.

Not.

They do nothing, then? Sit out elections and hurl poop at the imperfect mortals who dare enter the arena? Great. Surrender certainly allows one to claim they didn’t “compromise.”. Take a lesson from a former democrat, Ronald Wilson Reagan. Reality involves change.

Hey, geniuses, Obama’s not running in 2016. That was my point. Yeah, Mitt might win a do-over, but there’s not gonna be a do-over. Calm down and go put on some dry underwear.

If Romney is the candidate, conservatives will work
extra hard against him.

Romney cannot be trusted. Agreed?

Since you think this author is making such a good case for Romney, why not answer the obvious question?

How would Romney get through a republican primary?

After reversing himself again on abortion in 2012 and coming out against the GOP’s pro-life platform and declaring himself pro-choice again and running pro-choice ads in Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin and losing those states as a result, how does he reinvent himself yet again?

I guess i need to break this down so that you can understand. Yes, Mitt is a weenie RINO loser. I was trying to make the point that the author was making a pointless case that Mitt could now beat Obama because Obama is not running for a third term. The author is a fool.

The article says nothing of the sort. It merely describes Romney’s reappearance as a popular figure juxtaposed in light of his vindication on key campaign debate points in 2012, and his foot-in-the-door with the general public, positioned against whoever the donkey nominee is in 2016. It also points out that fringe fantasy candidates don’t do well against reality. Speculation is justified.

I’d hold my nose and support the republican nominee even if it was Jeb barf Bush, because the alternative is political Ebola.

What if Hillary ran as a Republican? I bet you’d vote for Hillary!

Try to pay attention. We conservatives don't "do nothing". We're in the slow, steady process of trying to get the RINOs and the backstabbers like McConnell fired. How? By refusing to reward their treasonous behaviour by re-electing them. If it means allowing a Democrat take their place, so be it. Will it mean a Democrat takes his place? Yeah, but it will also mean tightening the sphincters of the remaining RINOs, and maybe get them mend their ways; otherwise, lather, rinse, repeat in 2016.

We vote for Conservatives, not Republicans. If they happen to have an "R" after their name, great!

Since you believe this is the equivalent of Armageddon, I'm sure I won't convince you. But the alternative is rewarding the statists and backstabbers in the GOP and continuing the nation's decline. If you want to keep on supporting the GOP as they go hand-in-hand with the DemocRATs and destroy this nation, be my guest. We conservatives will not join you.

That question is so inane as to not even warrant an answer.

How vicious, backstabbing and stupid is Mitt Romney?

Romney, working FOR Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

Mitt Romney Sends Leftover Pizza to Obama Chicago HQ
After spending the day in Chicago fundraising, Mitt Romney
sat down with small business owners at Gino's East,
a pizza joint famous for their deep-dish pizza.
In fact, Romney himself tweeted a photo of a
delivery boy heading out with the loot, writing,
"Great deep dish at @ginoseast.
Sending the extra slices to @barackobama and his Chicago HQ team."

“”If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that’s what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it.”

Back then 75 or 80% didn’t involve thought crimes/homosexual marriage, teaching kindergardeners about two dads, forcing homosexual Boy Scout leaders, romneycare/obamacare, .... You are today comparing apples to decades ago oranges. Reagan would be outraged.
