Israel is a foreign country, not the fifty-first state. They can do what they want, and usually do. But killing the sailors of one of the few nations in the world that supported Israel was dumb-f..k stupid.
As to our mega-stupid actions WRT Israel, well, we no longer need Middle Eastern oil.
There are a great many things that will soon be different: OPEC is nearly impossible to identify any more; the Muslims are threatening to kill each other and destroy Mecca and Medina in the process; Europeans are busy driving Jews into moving nearly en-masse to Israel permanently.
