Diversification is probably a smart move, but my guess it will serve no one but the Muslim population, the rich ones at that. People will be less and less inclined to visit a Muslim state as Jihadis ramp up the violence. The problem in the middles east is the religion—Islam—a pathetic attempt by an epileptic child abuser, thief and murderer to carry out his hatred of Jews. Simple, but no one want to touch it.

Conversion to public housing of such unused buildings is a time honored tradition. The Coliseum had that fate for a period of time.
