If GOP takes the Senate, what happens?

The Trifecta predictions are gloomy, but not necessarily correct if we get enough conservatives -- who say what they mean and mean what they say -- into both houses of the Congress. We need to try.

Beyond that, and also beyond whether the apparently archaic word "integrity" has been removed from the congressional dictionary, even RINOs might reject a few of Obama's left-wing judicial appointees, and that's important. Spending reductions? Maybe. Perhaps a Senate majority might even agree with a Republican controlled House.

Can all these executive orders signed by the Kenyan be reversed by a GOP president in 2016?

If the house and senate repeal ObamaCare and it passes under Harry’s new rules (50 votes) and the new president signs it, is it gone?

I’m not a defeatist. I’m a realist. We went beyond the ballot box in Nov 2012.

Ask yourself which of the leaders of the GOP House or Senate have been able to bring themselves to name even one of the odious unnecessary govt agencies they could bear to shutter?

Name one of the probable GOP presidential candidates for 2016 who has done it.

The problems of our country are rooted firmly in the fact that we have an oversized overbearing bureaucracy riddled with and run by progressives who are not elected and cannot be fired or turned out of office. They make most of the laws through regulations that we all hate and rail agains’t. Until you get rid of them the problems will never be solved. The only way to get rid of these people is to shut down their agency and lay them off.

If the GOP wins back the Senate. Wait 12 months and then let me know how much they have managed to reduce the size of the US govt. How many agencies they have voted to shut down.

Eventually and likely soon the problem will be taken care of but it won’t be because the republicans control the Sentate. Their first order of business will likely be to pass amnesty. Yeaaaaa!! I’m so excited.

“...We should all march along with people like you who bang your GOP drum, believe the myths, and scream “defeatism” quite loudly at anybody who doesn’t.

I’ll bet you loved Mitt Romney too.”

Actually, I’m trying to support the takeover of the Republican Party by constitutional conservatives — such as Ted Cruz and the Ben Sasse. That’s a war we are in now and in which we are making significant progress. A lot of good folks across the nation are contributing and working toward that goal.

But you? It’s very ironic that a person who presents him/herself as a conservative takes the user name “Luke21” and likely has not tossed in even the widow’s mite toward the effort. In fact, what little effort you spend is directed at discouraging those in the fight. You will apparently never even get to the stage of being a “summer soldier”; you can’t even make your way to the recruiter.

I pity you as you wallow in your foul pessimism.

You don't know me. You come across as a screaming troll wanting to march people off in Don Quixote drill to absolutely nowhere. We haven't won squat in a very long time. How great was that 2010 election for you? Obama just governs without Congress. When we do win, the judges overturn it. When we elect “our” people, they are John McCain and Jeff Flake, the latter of whom I voted for because of the usual lesser of two evils choice, and knowing that his opponent was far worse. But according to you, everything is just grand or will be with a few more Republicans in the senate, which is what this thread is about.

So play in your sandbox with your buckets of dirt, denying political and social reality. You are a myth believing pollyanna. Nothing wrong with that. I once believed in the GOP just as you do. I remember when they told us to change the Supreme Court and we actually thought we could. That was 1980. It changed all right, but not for the better.

What myself and others are telling you is the battlefield is not currently stacked in our favor, and we are constantly betrayed. I was a political activist and a true believer in the days of Reagan and Jesse Helms, and I want to vomit at how little the GOP represents our interests in any area at all. Regards.

I don’t know you?... Maybe not, but I’ve seen your “works” here. “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”

“We haven’t won squat in a very long time”? Really? How about THREE DAYS AGO in the Nebraska primary where constitutional conservatives made their candidate (Ben Sasse) the nominee by a landslide—crushing the GOPe’s candidate. Of course, that victory was won by those in the fight-—those on the sidelines selling defeatism contributed nothing toward the victory (and won’t ever recognize it as a victory).

Two things will happen the day after the election:

(A))Inflation will hit double digits,
(B)unemployment will expectedly rise to 16.5% according to the Press.

You areundoubtedly correct. The nyumbers fed to the public over the past 2 Obamaterms have been pure fantasy.

IIRC, after Clinton left office, the real numbers also came out to embarrass GW, who with the House and Senate in Republican hands, screwed up the domestic side of things as badly, if not worse, than any Democrat. Then lost his shirt in the midterms anyway. Bribing Third Worlders is not the American way, for getting votes anyway! p>Moral of the story? The Democrats are much better at being Democrats than RINOs could ever be. We should never again, NEVA AGIN I say, try and match the SOBs.
