A Maryland man was recently arrested after he was accused of breaking into a Susquehanna Township home and raping a mentally disabled woman.
Jose Fredy Reyes, 29, of Frederick, is also accused of sexually assaulting the same woman on two other occasions. He was charged Friday with several sex crimes and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail in Dauphin County Prison.
The alleged victim, who is in her 30s, has the mental capacity of an elementary school student, a family member told police, according to charging documents filed by Susquehanna Township police Detective Lee Tarasi. Those documents also detail the following:
Reyes worked for Classic Landscaping, which performed work for a housing development in the township. The woman told police last summer Reyes came up to her, took her by the hand and guided her to an area where he exposed himself. She did not provide police with details on what happened after that or in the second alleged assault.
The third encounter occurred last Wednesday, the woman told police. She said Reyes entered her residence through an unlocked back door with his pants pulled down to his knees. He then forced himself on her in the living room, the woman told police.
A neighbor of the woman later told police that she saw a man run from the back of the woman’s house with his pants pulled down. She later identified Reyes as the man she saw.
