You’re not ready to have sex if…

1. You think sex equals love. 2. You feel pressured. 3. You’re afraid to say no. 4. It’s just easier to give in. 5. You think everyone else is doing it. (They’re not!) 6. Your instincts tell you not to. 7. You don’t know the facts about pregnancy. 8. You don’t understand how birth control works. 9. You don’t think a woman can get pregnant the first time. (She can.) 10. It goes against your moral beliefs. 11. It goes against your religious beliefs. 12. You’ll regret it in the morning. 13. You feel embarrassed or ashamed. 14. You’re doing it to prove something. 15. You can’t support a child. 16. You can’t support yourself. 17. Your idea of commitment is a 3-day video rental. 18. You believe sex before marriage is wrong. 19. You don’t know how to protect yourself from the HIV – the virus that causes AIDS. 20. You don’t know the signs and symptoms of sexually transmitted infections (STIs, also called STDs). 21. You think it will make your partner love you forever. 22. You think it will make you love your partner. 23. You think it will keep you together. 24. You hope it will change your life. 25. You don’t want it to change your life.

“28. Your idea of foreplay is when she gets you a beer.”

28b. Your idea is redneck foreplay: “Get in the truck, bitch.” (The wife loves that one!)

Hat's off to you and your family BCW.

World is filled with those who spend all their time thinking they can do no wrong.

Nothing rankles them so much as seeing someone else doing right.

They had their own problems in the 1950s. The old social systems were moribund, and the returning veterans had no patience or tolerance of them.

To describe the typical, middle-American town back then, to start with, it was racially segregated.

The government was white, but the black part of town had a shadow government, often run by the undertaker, a job with the highest social status, whose job it was to keep the black part of the town orderly. One of their responsibilities was to keep transient black men of bad character from settling in and making trouble.

As far as the white government went, it worked hand in glove with a clique of the most powerful Protestant denomination in that town. In effect, they were bullies.

Underneath it all, the craving for social change was intense. More and more women were getting college educations, only to be consigned to what they thought of as a drab existence as a bored housewife, who after their children had grown up had nothing to show for it.

Men, many of them veterans, were not happy with their role in society, either. They knew they had potential and wanted to use it.

But at the same time, their children did get a lot more social interaction, which led to more stable relationships. Often because there was little entertainment, so their interaction was by default.

Christians can cuss...God doesn’t care — I know several priest that do...accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord - pretty simple thing to do...and because I did - he saved from death so many times - I wonder why - why me over the 17 others I knew that were killed in Iraq...but I know now. I needed that little boy to save me - to be his shield - his sword - to protect him and make sure his rights weren’t violated...so what if I used a “bad” word...Heaven’s Gate will not be closed to me...I’m not perfect by any measure - and that little boy makes me a better dad - and I thank God and Christ every night that I am here for him....watch your comments - you opened it up - why should I remain a gentlemen...and I would like to thank everyone else for the nice comments - God bless you all - even you OldPossum - and may your day find you peace
