Who's Next to Follow South Carolina's Lead on the FULL State Nullification of Obamacare?

(Yoo-hoo, Rick Perry...)

As desperation mounts at the White House, Dear Leader -although he hasn't killed his uncle yet- is sinking to new depths of lawlessness in flailing attempts to salvage his 'signature' piece of legislation, the misnomer Affordable Care Act (and the entire Obama legacy).

The latest stunt involves all but forcing insurers to cover (cheaply or free, and at a financial loss) those without HC coverage who haven't been able to get anything out of 'state exchanges' due to the ongoing healthcare.gov debacle.

But it seems South Carolinians have decided they've had their fill: If the ACA nullification bill -which has been 'fast-tracked' in the SC state senate- becomes law, they be the first state to exempt citizens and businesses from all participation.

NC state Sen. Tom Davis -the author of the bill- says passage would stop Obamacare COLD, blocking practical implementation via a handful of provisions. These could be summarized as 'we refuse to carry our own cross!', because SC will not be lifting a finger to help force this down peoples' throats.

Davis -who's an attorney- based the pending legislation on five basic components, all of which are legal, effective, and well-within the state's power.

How it would work is by prohibiting state agencies, officers and employees from implementing any provisions of Obamacare, leaving these weighty tasks solely in the hands of the federal government, (which lacks the resources/personnel to do it alone).

'Congress can pass laws, but it cannot compel the states to utilize either their treasury or personnel to implement those federal laws.'

So, who's next? Alabama, Arizona, and Missouri have already passed laws/ballot initiatives that nullify Obamacare mandates specifically, but what we need is full nullification -as proposed in South Carolina- and by 10-15 states, minimum... that ought to throw a spanner in the works!

Borrowing Mark Levin's central theme of re-asserting states' rights, South Carolina's initiative could bring us in the short term a taste of what The Liberty Amendments envisions over the longer-term... freedom, liberty, and control over our own destiny.

Godspeed, Senator Davis~

I’ve been saying that an unintended consequence of Bamcare kicking people off their insurance

is that folks will start paying for services directly out of necessity and free market forces will come into play.

I had posted once that when all is said and done, history would look kindly on Roberts, and that his so called ‘betrayal’ was anything but. It should be interesting to see how this plays out...

I just spent last week in South Carolina and didn’t know about this. I did see 4 or 5 signs in the median of a 4 lane highway between Charleston and Walterboro that simply said: “Who is Lee Bright?”

Near Charleston you say? Hmmm…..that would be the work of a certain other challenger to Graham who has fallen behind Bright in all the polls….and who’s business partner is a professional poltical troll……

I think that’s a safe bet.

Our Texas guys have been awful quiet lately.

I think the framework for nullification has been built, now only to to wait for 2014 screams from the electorate getting gored by zerocare to call a special session and nullify it.

Perry called Kathleen Sebilius six months ago and told her he won’t implement it... sounds like he’s ready to go

Nossir. He may have included a parting shot ("you get what you vote for"), but he betrayed his country. The pain this will cause will be Biblical in scope.

Everyone knows he was blackmailed. He should have come forward, told about what he was being blackmailed about, refused to comply with the blackmailer, and asked for a VERY large VERY serious investigation on the blackmail.

He would have been a hero the stature of George Washington.

Everyone knows? Okay - please feel free to share what everyone knows. Though I wouldn't put it past this administration.

Also, how many VERY large and VERY serious investigations do you think the Democrat controlled congress and Senate would have launched? They controlled both houses in June of 2012. Would the complicit media have been more outraged about a conservative Supreme Court justice being blackmailed, or would they have focused on whatever he was being blackmailed for and blasted him for not being forthright in his confirmation hearings? He would have been forced to resign and Obama and the democract controlled senate would have appointed a left wing idealogue. Just saying.

he was not blackmailed at all...

as much as i despise fubocare, robeerts ruling was nothing short of brilliant in the war on socialism...this ruling did more to reverse the tide of socialism and communism sweeping this country than any other ruling before it...

after the ruling was issued he stated, and i am paraphrasing here, that it is not the job of the court to save the people from themselves. he also said it is up to the electorate to elect those that represent their views..

this was a shot across the bow for conservatives, and what did they do???

they stayed home in droves...

i guess those that did not cast a ballot got what they voted for, nothing...

i also blame the talk radio pundits, who sided with the republican line instead of the constitutional line, for if they had even bothered to read the ruling, they would have known that this was a severe, near deathblow for the libs.. but they choose, en masse, to shout out the pub line..

and they are still doing it, even while the states are using this ruling not just for fubocare, but other issues ( and it is these other issues where the libs will lose)..

unless we get a majority lib court, things like fubocare, socialist security, unfunded mandates to the states, and a host of things libs love to do, cannot happen again. and, if conservatives would have shown up and voted in the house and senate races (forget electing socialist mcromney) things would be very different today...

a question, why are both fubo and the pubs interested in delaying implementation???

because once they do, it will go back in front of the supreme court, and be overturned (unless a lib majority is present on the court)..

remember, the pubs want this just as badly as the dems do..
