Gallup Shows Large Unemployment Jump in Just One Month

It’s always a good idea to have someone watching the watchman. We depend upon the federal government’s Bureau of Labor Statistics to track unemployment numbers despite the fact that we know the data is already manipulated by the various formulas that they use to compile the statistics. I stumbled across a Brietbart piece last week (that I haven’t seen in other media outlets) showing that Gallup also tracks unemployment and the most recent poll they undertook showed a huge jump in unemployment from 7.7% up to 8.9%. This occurred from July 21st to August 31st, a mere thirty days!

August 31 of what year? Are they predicting what unemployment levels will be this Saturday?

Apparently it was supposed to read August 21, it says from July 21 to August 31 and calls that a mere THIRTY days when in reality that would be more like forty days.

15 % on food stamps and only 8.5% unemployed. Something does not compute here.

Obama created the mess. With everyone working part time, including students, well, they all took off for school. Now they are included in the statistic.
