“I have had my posting privileges cut off at the WSJ.”

Life will go on and you do have the option of cutting off their sales privileges to you (it's way over priced anyway).

I said that the problems at the IRS are a direct result of unionization of the federal workforce. I said that government by unelected boards and commissions was the Democrat goal from the Agenda 21 and I said that the Immigration bill was big, unenforceable and duplicitous because, while the proponents claim that the illegals won’t be get Obamacare, that is not true for those who have been recruited to join the SEIU. The unionized illegal immigrants will not only get healthcare, you, as a tax payer, will pay for it.

Oh, and I criticized the public school system in WA and their outcome based education.

I once wrote letters to the editor of my local paper. They actually printed some of them. Then they told me not to send any more letters because they would not be printed. This was 5 years ago.

I think that they have interns who work the comment board, college students who think that they know everything and are always right.

I think that this is more than just censorship, though. They were trying to get personal information from me because they do not have my street address. The union thugs have been trying to get my street address for the past two years.

I used to write letters to the local paper as well. They were always printed until a leftist slug took over. They actually offered me a job once, writing from a conservative view point. That was before McClatchy bought the paper.

Actually, I am or was a member of our local Tea Party, but the union influence became more than I could take.

The same guy who I think was responsible for giving out my home phone number, was working for the local unelected storm water advisory board to remove the coal terminal property from the water district and teaching Agenda 21 classes at the same time. So, he was working with the Storm Water regulators, against the local property owners, while he was railing against the Storm Water Advisory Board in his Agenda 21 classes.

I have already mentioned that possibility.

This is the email that I sent to journalcommunity@wsj.com.
The moderator at the WSJ comment board has cut off my posting privileges, saying that I was not who I said I was and that I used offensive or violent language. I saved a copy of the post that he turned down and the most offensive word in the post was “pregnant”.

Then they claimed that I had to post private information in my profile before I would be permitted to post. There is no requirement to post private information in my profile, but I conceded to fill out the form to a certain extent, but since I am retired, there was not much to fill in. So, then I was asked to provide my husband’s information, which I refused because my posting has nothing to do with my husband or his job. My husband has a sensitive position and serves on numerous government boards and commissions. Nothing I do has anything to with him. I admit that the college I filled in is not the real college that I attended, but I didn’t think that was any of their business. I am a retired health care professional and I graduated from an East Coast College. That is about all anyone needs to know. My personal information is my own business.

This is a totally partisan censorship, much like what happened at the IRS.

Let me give you a little background. I used to be a Republican precinct captain and was very vocal about my opposition to the sub-bituminous coal terminal that they are trying to ram through the approval process in Whatcom County. As a result, we have been the target of union harassment, mostly phone calls, day and night, 24 hours a day. The first calls came from a pre-paid cell phone that was linked to a child sex ring in Anchorage, Alaska. (I consulted a private detective) Then the calls seemed to be coming from within a prison in North Carolina and when we didn’t answer the phone, they sent text to land messages, offering sex for sale. (I didn’t know that there was such a thing as text to land). Then they started entering our phone number into credit agencies under other people’s names, so that we would receive the calls from many agencies for other people. The calls came about once an hour all night long. We couldn’t cancel our phone service because our alarm system is connected to the land line, so we changed our phone number three times in one year. But before we changed it the last time, we received a call from someone who claimed that they were calling from 1 800 flowers and wanted our street address so that they could deliver flowers and that they had Raoul, Miguel and Mateo standing ready to make the delivery. It was a threat.

The problem at the WSJ is more of the same. Posters in the WSJ Community respect me. I have been complemented numerous times for presenting a differing opinion in a polite manner. I have been invited several times to join blogs for writers because they need a conservative point of view. The latest invitation is from a site called, Writers Beat. I am thinking of taking them up on it and writing about my experience on the WSJ comment board.

The government has recently been in the news for suppression of freedom of the press, but this is the first time that I have heard of the press being involved in the freedom of expression. I hope that this situation can be resolved in a positive way. The union that is involved is the ILWU and the RR Workers’ Union.

my name

I would like to add that I believe that the attempt to force me to reveal personal information on my profile was an attempt to get my home address, which is not available through my subscription information because we do not have mail delivery at our home. This is a personal invasion of privacy and I consider it to be a threat because of the previous experience with union harassment.

Eva,

You are confused. Your free speech rights are a constraint on government. Private entities are free to restrict speech within their domains as they please. You are free to shop elsewhere.

As for your home address, those who want it already have it. If you own the property on which you live, your name and address are a matter of public record available to anyone who visits the courthouse which can mostly be done electronically these days.

So, they can just call up the court house and ask where we live?

The union members aren’t that bright, not people who are associated with child sex rings and sex for sale. I realize that there goal might have been to just intimidate me. They succeeded in a way, but didn’t stop me from speaking out.

If you’re paying for this service then you should tell them you want a prorated portion of your money back that properly reflects the days/time you have been banned and if they refuse tell them you are contacting the better business bureau to file a claim.

Many counties won’t respond to telephone inquiries, you must go to the county clerk’s office in person where by law they are required to show you the tax rolls which shows the names of property owners. The property address may not be where they live, but it often is. Many counties now have that information online, go to your counties’ web site and see what they have.

With you name and town and $25, I could get a report on you that might shock you. If I was a power player in the info gathering world, I would be able to find out a great deal more.

You should be nervous because the RRs don’t pay for overpasses or under passes, that is all on the local government, and now you have the addition of oil trains from the Bakken field coming through to refineries all along the WA coast. Whatcom County will be seeing 3-3.5 trains per day for the two refineries here, but there are what, 3 other refineries south of here, which will be receiving oil, also. There just isn’t enough rail for all the coal and oil which is planned to be shipped through WA State.

I have enjoyed posting at the WSJ, we have some good discussions and I often learn a lot because most of the subscribers are actually conservatives, except for the young confused Libertarians, who claim to be closer to liberals than they are to conservatives.

I said that the problems at the IRS are a direct result of unionization of the federal workforce.

I commented that the first action to take is to decertify the NTEU throughout the government.

I told them to decertify all the public sector unions, including the SEIU.

I probably said that a time or two as well.
