You won't believe how much has changed since then. Notice anything peculiar (other than the fashions) in some of these photos? (Many photos at link)

I worked in an office next to two women who smoked all day, I came home everyday with a headache.

It’s definitely Long Island, but I’m thinking that all the malls look alike!

Yeah, and I hate when people fart in the public restroom.

"Notice anything peculiar....?"

Definitely.

The photos of the concourses in that mall weren't empty like I saw in my own mall yesterday.

Sears was totally empty mid-afternoon except for the annex which has garden things and guys-stuff like tools and lawn mowers.

I didn't see ONE SINGLE clerk in sight in any direction, either, not even in the two cashier cubicles in my viewing range.

I got the willies....it was like being in a morgue at midnight.

I remarked on this to a clerk who appeared after about 5 minutes of my searching. I kid you not - she looked like she was going to cry She knows very well what's happening.

Thanks, Obama.

I was 40 in 1990 and yes I used to smoke in the grocery store while shopping. I sure miss big hair.

Born 1956, grew up on Long Island. Used to ride the bus to the South Shore mall in Bayshore which was a collection of outside entry stores back in the late 60’s-70’s. Vinyl albums and clothes were my top list of items to buy. Now the Brentwood, Bayshore area has become like little Guatemala.
