Terrorism Expert to Newsmax: Boston Blast a McVeigh-Like Attack
Newsmax (!) ^ | 4-15-2013 | Bill Hoffmann

Posted on 04/15/2013 7:26:59 PM PDT by Sir Napsalot

A renowned expert on world terrorism says the deadly blasts that rocked Boston have all the earmarks of a domestic attack — not unlike Timothy McVeigh’s 1995 truck-bomb explosion in Oklahoma City.

“It’s interesting the timing of this event,’’ Dr. Harvey Kushner told Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show.

“It’s Patriot’s Day, Tax Day. It’s a holiday in Boston and we’re coming up on what was the Oklahoma City bombing April 19th, and also the Battle of Lexington, which started the American Revolution.

“A lot of domestic terrorist organizations used to key in on that date, April 19. And Boston … is the center of this patriot movement and patriot feeling.’’

Kushner, author of “Holy War on the Home Front: The Secret Islamic Terror Network in the United States’’ and “The Encyclopedia of Terrorism’’ said the marathon’s prominence appears to be a factor in it being targeted.

(snip)

“Whether it’s at the hand of a domestic terrorist, or an internationally sponsored group or a wannabe, this is not good for this country because it just shows the vulnerability of this nation.

“This is not flying planes into buildings, but it’s certainly hitting America on an important day and it just shows our vulnerability.’’

He said he believed the explosions could be the work of “a McVeigh type, if I could be so bold.’’

Kushner, Chairman of the Department of Criminal Justice at Long Island University, said other large U.S. cities could now be in jeopardy.

But the OKC attack was anti-government. Blowing up spectators at a marathon just doesn’t make sense (from the terrorists perspective.). What does this accomplish? These victims were not government workers or part of the 1% or necessarily of any common mindset (except they liked running.)

I can understand why the Taliban use IEDs against the US. They see us as occupiers.

The only “target” here is Americans.

Ok, the next person says “But I slept in a Holiday Inn Express” wins the prize.

How about "I slept with a Holiday Inn hostess" ?

All the earmarks of a domestic attack, with the exceptions of the perpetrator being a Saudi-national, Al Queda, foreign born, illegal-who-overstay-his-student-visa. But, in all other respects, a domestic terrorist attack.

The media completely ignored the bomb that was mailed to Joe Arpaio last week. Any wagers that it came from the Left of the aisle or possibly someone with a heart-on for our neighbors South of the border?

Excellent point. BTW, I hear the explosive used was professional grade, more typical of foreign sourced terror groups. Quite a Gao between that and a truckload of fertilizer. Did this “expert” consider this critical detail? Or would such an omission reflect intentional propaganda? See, I think we have to stop calling it an agenda. Everybody’s got an agenda. Only the pros use systematic disinformation.

Sorry, but if the 20 year old Saudi national in the hospital with severe burns was running to the nearest hospital instead of getting tackled by a civilian because he involved in this bombing, THEN I'll believe this guy.

The other guy they're looking for was in all black clothes and tried to enter a restricted area with a backpack on then was turned away.. Possibly a foreign accent. Hopefully, he's on video or photo somewhere.

It also appears that ball bearings were the shrapnel used.

He may be on to something. The McVeigh bombing may have been cooked up by FBI operatives as a false flag to break up the momentum of the Michigan Militia. There is speculation that the OKC bombing was a sting operation that went awry (similar to Fast & Furious)

The FBI and CIA and now maybe DHS often whip up entrapment schemes, lead on and plant ideas in certain peoples heads who are crazed and impressionable in order to make a bust, they even go so far as to supply materials and weapons, but soemtimes it goes too far. We see it in the news from time to time.

Every time something like this happens the people are punished with more tyrannical control

Has anyone ever considered that some of these terrorist attacks may have been perpetrated by the government in order to terrorize the people into submission and control ? [/waco conspiracy strait jacket]

Earlier tonight, Mark Levin played an audio clip of some hack-analyst on CNN talking about how this attack had the signs of an Al Queda “and other right-wing attacks.” LMAO! Trying to equate Al Queda with “right wing.”

An expert who doesn’t even know that McVeigh couldn’t build a bomb to save his life until Abu Sayef taught Terry Nichols in Cebu.

So I guess he’s right in that regard... the attacks were similar since all of the bombs were made by musloids.
