The government ceased to care about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution years ago...!

so did the people or the politicians would not have gotten away with circumventing it

Thanks for replying.

Again, in addition to what I noted in previous post about Congress’s Section 8 military powers, and given that Founding States could have included gun rights in the 1st Amendment’s list of powers prohibited to Congress but did not do so, it is unreasonable, imo, to read into 2A that Congress is prohibited from regulating guns.

“and the most extreme only protect the black powder rifles in use at the time of adoption.”

I have a black powder Springfield long rifle circa Revolutionary or Civil war (or both), in perfect condition. Maybe they would let me keep that one?

I have ordered a pin to wear on my clothes that reads in large letters, “I CARRY A GUN” and under that in smaller letters it reads, “Because a cop is too heavy.”

I am going to wear that pin because I'm sick of this gun grabbing legislation no matter what bill is passed - they're all unconstitutional.

1. It is not constitutional for the federal government to pass any gun regulations that infringe on the right to keep and bear arms whatsoever.

Well, how about that? "Shall not be infringed" must mean something.

It is not constitutional for the federal government to pass any gun regulations whatsoever.

Let's get rid of the above statement in the OP. As I mentioned in previous post, as evidenced by the Militia Acts of 1792, Congress can regulate (I think that some people read "restrict") arms by requiring that citizens buy them.

But only if they don’t infringe on the right to keep and bear arms whatsoever.

I agree with one reservation. Either the feds or the states have to regulate guns to prohibit 5 year-olds, for example, from bearing arms. And since I think we agree that it's not up to the feds to make such laws, it's up to state to do so based on 10A-protected powers, powers now limited by 14A.

That enters into the territory of legal competency as an adult similar to being legally adjudicated mentally incompetent. The question of infringement of rights certainly only applies to legally competent adults unless they are otherwise legally impaired. ie convicted felons.

I don't know where the laws regarding minors issue from but I would think it would fall to the states to set the age and restrictions that would apply to minors.

So long as “regulation” does not include “prohibition”, such as “you can’t buy a gun until we give you permission”.

The government ceased to care about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution years ago...!

So when Obama and democrats put their hand on the Bible and swear to uphold the Constitution they're lying?

That's you're point? That's your position? Democrats are a bunch of low life liars?

Well, you're probably right swampfox. Don't you wish - just once - they had the 'b*lls' to tell the truth? They could tell voters they're going to refuse to participate in the swearing in ceremony... and tell them why. Sure they'll still get the illegal vote - and the 'in and out of jail' vote - and the dependent vote - but beyond that? My guess is not much.

The government ceased to care about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution years ago...!

Apathetic parents long ago stopped making sure that their children were taught the Constitution as the Founding States had intended for it to be understood. In other words, Constitution-ignorant "patriots" arguably deserve unconstitutonally big federal government.

Note that my take on Section 5 of the 14th Amendment where prohibitive state gun laws are concerned is the following. In stark contrast to the PC stance of corrupt federal lawmakers to take away our gun rights, Section 5 indicates that post Civil War lamakers essentially expected Congress to make laws which protect citizens from state laws which abridge our constitutional rights, restrictive state gun laws included.

Great shirt, but it’s not just the Democrat-Communists infringing on our rights; it is the Republican-Communists, as well.
