Firearms Risk Protection Act Will Stick Gun Owners With $10,000 Fine
Freedom Outpost ^ | Apr. 2, 2013 | Tim Brown

While the Socialists are finally coming out about the reality of the costs that Obamacare will bring and the utter monstrosity it is, others of the Socialist Democrat Party are pushing for gun owners to be forced to purchase liability insurance for gun owners. Those that don’t could face fines of $10,000. We told you that when you open the floodgates of allowing the Federal government to mandate purchasing a product there would be more to come. Maloneycare is just another in a long line of legislation that will be coming down the pipe.

Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) introduced her bill, H.R. 1369, along with eight other Socialists in the Democrat Party saying it would be “the first bill to require liability insurance of gun buyers nationwide.”

The Firearms Risk Protection Act of 2013 requires gun owners to have “a qualified liability insurance policy” before they can even buy a gun, a clear violation of the Second Amendment, which Socialists swear to uphold then seek to undermine.

However, this isn’t just about citizens who wish to purchase a firearm. It’s about those of us who already own them. Maloney and her comrades want to impose a $10,000 fine if you don’t purchase liability insurance.

American Christians should obey laws, only when they’re constitutional because the constitution and God almighty are the only authorities we’re under. We’re not under the authority of anyone who acts outside of the constitution and natural law. Politicians, judges, police, etc are under our authority. When we obey unjust laws we’re like parents who allow their kids to run their homes. We’ve done that for too long. We’re not right with God if we continue to allow the kids to run our home.

I wish they’d start passing some of this junk so we can get busy disobeying them.

Not paying for insurance or fine. Legal or not.

That was the Obamacare argument, wasn't it?

Two convicts just escaped from jail within an hours drive from me. All I know is the people that live there that have a gun in their house feel a heck of a lot safer than the people going to sleep tonight with a kitchen knife under their pillow.

Looks like a plan from elite constituents to disarm and take out the trash. Look behind the politicians. Follow the money.

The school condom / birth control pushers should carry liability insurance.

Another attempt at a compromise bill against the riff-raff—a pool of Americans that will increase radically under austerity measures soon to come (big government layoffs, tax hikes, investment and pension “haircuts.” The big contributors among constituents would get more cash flow from their insurance companies, while large parts of the population would be disarmed against criminals.

So it would appear to be an answer to the political/regulator class fears of overpopulation, too. And subgroups in our population whose Second Amendment right is violated now will vote in favor of gun control later (revenge). Looks like a fascist plan.

They can impose a $10,000 fine, but then they have to try to collect it.

Thanks for the excerpt from the Thomas site. They’re using the First Settler Syndrome approach, too: grandfathering those who’ve already purchased. It’s worked very effectively, even in majority Republican counties on the Rockies, to get many regulations passed against freedom (planning offices, land use regs., building codes, anti-small-business zoning, etc.). Too many voters enjoy cutting off those aren’t already established.

"They can impose a $10,000 fine, but then they have to try to collect it."

Sellers (see "established" in my comment #30) would do so out of fear and pride. The very few sellers who would disobey would price items sky high. This isn't the America that I grew up in. Interesting stopped-up market we're seeing now, too. Looks like the "gatekeeping" plans of political/regulator class folks are well enforced in every level of politics and the market again.

They are trying to exclude the poor and minorities from having the means to self defense. Same ole same ole Jim Crow/classist laws to create a privileged class in American society. That's quite Victorian of our elitist politicians. It is distinctly un-American.

Congratulations you are correct that is exactly what these smiling proto-fascist really want. A list of who has guns any guns so they willl be able to hand it over to DHS sturmtruppen wannabes for rounding up political opponents for a one way train ride to a internment/reeducation camp. We have seen this before & when liberals say it could never happen here remind them of the Americans of Japanese,Italian & German heritage who were put behind barbed wire by FDR for there own protection of course. /Sarcasm

Strikes me that your classic car parked securely for the winter doesn’t require insurance.

Gun insurance would create a pool of money, dirty pool of gun owners (again the scarlet letter), to payout money for their shared culpability.

Here’s a thought. How about...insurance for people with STD’s...lotta filthy leftists in that dirty pool..!!!

I will but in the meantime, you know, my guns were just stolen a few nights ago. Hate it when that happens.

No I don't (but I see your point). I was thinking along the lines of 7 "bullet" "clips" for "military style assault weapons" and evil glocks. I put that stuff in quotes so it would be MSM friendly.
