This week the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on two of the most critical cases of our time. On Tuesday, March 26, attorneys will make the pitch both for and against California’s Proposition 8. This, of course, is the Golden State’s pro-marriage amendment. It maintained the timeless definition of natural marriage as between man and wife.
Then, on Wednesday, March 27, the high court will consider the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), passed in 1996 with overwhelming bipartisan support and signed into law by then President Bill Clinton. It, likewise, secured the definition of legitimate marriage for purposes of federal law. …

Yes. Think about it, what legal footing would you have to say no to this. If two men or two women are now a definition of marriage; what is so special about the number 2? Why can't a man have 4 wives, or a woman, four husbands. Then again, what is so bad about a "group marriage", with various combinations of adults.
Then, the push will be on to lower the age of consent, and, we will have child brides; and, if you are against that you are a hater. What does the psychiatric community now call pedophila? Intergenerational sex. Nice phrase. No judgement in it at all.

Are we losing? I don’t think so. The media likes to play it up that way. Remember what Sun Tzu’s Art Of War described as the “highest form of warfare”, that being to break the enemy’s resistance without fighting; don’t fall for it.
And on the spiritual side, if the devil is indeed becoming more powerful in the world, that in itself is a highly prophetic event.

How marriage is defined has ramifications on the entire society. Children need their mothers. Children need their fathers. The social decay we already see is largely due to widespread divorce, out of wedlock births, and people wandering from one relationship to another.
And now the powers that be want to obliterate what is left. Bride, groom, husband, wife, mother, father - these words are to be tossed aside. The marital act? Consummation of marriage? Well that is to be considered just the same as sterile abnormal and unhealthy acts.
It isn’t irrelevant to me. This is the new world my kids are growing up in.
I understand your point, but its come time to simply ignore the government and seperate ourselves, akin to how the Amish have done.

Your comments have nothing to do with the situation. They’re trying to disembowel natural law. Forcing people to accept insanity as sanity, is immoral and unconstitutional. Of course people who marry still have “real” marriages, if they honor their vows. But when publically and legally and socially and politically the laws of nature are made “null and void”, this has real life affects. Such as the destruction of the lives of many children. And legally forcing all kinds of businesses to cater to mentally ill sex perverts, schools to teach immoral insanity and on and on. It’s already happening in states with same sex “marriage”.

My brother and I love each other and want to marry. We’re consenting adults and unable to have children. If 2 men or 2 women can get married, then I should be able to marry my brother...or my dad...or my mother...or my sister....

That about sums it up. Their real goal is to abolish of special status for the God-given and created institution of the natural family and replace it with the state.
You and I have a different definition of marriage, my friend. A marriage is not made by "honoring vows," but by the grace of God. People an "honor vows" and be any which way they please. The state has no place in defining, taxing, regulating or otherwise claiming dominion over that which is God's alone. God has made marriage. The state is powerless to destroy it. What you and the state calls marriage, I call the fallen nature of man: the claim that men have the power of God.
Your post, inarticulately though it may have been, brings up the greatest issue of overturning DOMA: family law.
Throughout American history, the state has continually claimed an increasingly powerful role in the lives of everyday citizens’ families, beginning with compulsory state education. The answer is not to enforce MORE laws ensuring MORE state control of what we hold dear, but FEWER laws.
If you are correct that the problem exists in a few states, then why not end the “marriage” business by the government? The problems will only exist in those few states. End the state’s role in the “education” (perversion) of children, and you will put an end to 99% of the absolute crap we face.
Those who live unholy and impure lives will live with the consequences of their actions. Those who live rightly will do better. While I agree holiness is better than sin, that is clearly not the State’s proper role.
So I agree with you. It is a minority that want to pervert children and society. Let that minority sit in their own little communities and get the state out of the business of forcing it on everyone else: get the government OUT of our families and the Holy Mysteries/Sacraments of our churches. Marriage means one man and one woman, according to Natural Law which is created by God, by biology (also created by God) and is part and parcel of Natural Law.
I am not interested, for the discussion of preventing sodomy/two men/two women/fake “marriage” to get into details of religious meanings of marriage. That narrows support.
Simple nature, biology, and every religion in the world says “man+woman=marriage”.

I remember years ago that liberal tarians wanted to take a state over and they said all move to NH.
Maybe if every conservative got the hell out of the north east and right on the coast of the west coast then certain red states would an influx of millions moving to their state, would see socialist states lose voters and tax money.
