And You Thought the Japanese Were Weird: from Ukraine, Behold the 'Barbie Doll' Look-
Reaganite Republican ^ | 15 March 2013 | Reaganite Republican

The bizarre craze was started by a (blonde) Ukrainian model in her early 20s named Valeria Lukyanova, when -although already a great-looking gal- she went and got various plastic surgeries in order to appear more like a human Barbie Doll, while starving herself skinny and wearing elaborately-constructed makeup to enlarge the appearance of her eyes, etc. (apparently she already had the legs for it).

For some time Lukyanova was publicizing herself with a like-minded, 19-y.o. friend, (redhead) Anastasiya Shpagina, but since they reportedly had a doll-fight over who-was-getting-how-much-attention on a Japanese TV interview, the two parted ways.

The strange fantasy life seems to have appealed to other young girls in the Ukraine too, as it's now become a bit of a craze there... apparently escapism for those trapped in the bleak former Soviet Union. Yes, this 'human doll' stuff is as odd -or worse- than Japanese crazes, and of course Valerie Lukyanova is hugely popular over there as well; fits-right-in with their 'cute' addiction, and they always go nuts over blondes

Heck, it's even caught on in Mexico now... I guess they've got nothing better to do than get up at 5am to start putting on makeup everyday, either:

The blonde's not half-bad in a bikini,
but overall hese two give me the creeps, man

This isn’t the “barbie doll” look. It’s a trend mimicking Japanese anime characters, or the “Anime Look”.

The makeup, clothing, and hair isn’t as disturbing as those girls who are tight-lacing with corsets, and dieting to achieve the definitely unhealthy looking body shape. Some like Anastasiya Shpagina are even undergoing plastic surgery (having ribs removed and such) to achieve the proper physique. I’ve even seen some that have altered their chins to become more triangular and pointed... It’s the extreme body modification I have problems with, but to each his own I guess... I think it’s sad though that these girls may grow up and really regret transforming themselves in such a permanent and extreme manner.

Anyway, it’s definitely not about being “Barbie” at all... even though I’ve seen more than a few “Western” media outlets referring to it as such. It’s similar to cosplay, but instead of dressing as a specific character, these girls are adapting their looks to the anime style of makeup, hair, and clothing.

Congrats! You’re right... They aren’t trying to look like Barbie, they are mimicking anime character looks. :)

Still looking for the one. Unfortunately, radical American feminism has spread far and some days I doubt that I'll ever sign on the dotted line. I was born there but only about 25% of women I dated were. They tend to be garishly materialistic and selfish. Many of my Russian/Ukrainian friends outright refuse to date them.

My favorite are european-mixed latin Americans. Especially Puerto Ricans. The sweetest, most intelligent and beautiful women I've met were all from PR and Brazil. They come in ALL shapes and colors. PR girls don't need you for papers so it's less likely you are being “played”.

While it is still possible to find a traditional, family-orientated girl in Eastern Europe, many become corrupted and pull the divorce trigger for money. Usually by new jealous American “friends” who want to throw a monkey wrench into her happy marriage.

There is nothing more dangerous to a man's financial status than a divorce from a foreign bride. By bringing one into the country, you are legally obligated to support her for LIFE (unless YOU prove she earns enough to support herself). Many of the girls over there know this and “play” rich Americans like violins.

They will initially treat you like a God-King but NEVER, EVER marry a foreigner. Unfortunately, for most men this is easier said than done. Always remember that what women lack in physical strength, they more than make up for in their ability to manipulate men's minds. A powerful woman can take more from you than a dozen armed men and you'll go completely willingly...

It's the same mindset that makes some primitive tribes file their teeth, stain them black, make scars on their faces and bodies, put rings around their necks etc. They are doing a mindless tribal ritual in order to "belong".

Teens wearing baggy pants and certain types of haircuts and other BS are in the same category.
