FReepers have always been known for doing research and digging for facts. They can sniff out stuff that’s just unbelievable!
Allegra is 100% genuine and a better person than most people realize or give her credit for. She has spent more time in the dust bowl than many OGA ‘operators’ and she does it by choice.
I wish I could find a picture I took of a sign one day, outside a small pharmacy in Salem, MA...it said “Allegra is Here!”
I pulled over when I saw it, snapped a shot of it and posted it to her...:)
The problem with logical discussion is that no one wants to think themselves ‘illogical’. So you get garden variety unsupportable BS hammered to death in the name of logic. Case in point, the recent ‘abortion for votes scam several ‘freepers’ were running on behalf of the GOP.
To them, it was completely ‘logical’ to give ground on the abortion issue if that meant building a bigger tent for the 2014 elections.
Now if anyone can explain how it’s logical to kill babies for votes I’m all ears. But you can’t twll them any more than tell Dem/libs that ‘No, this is contrary to everything we believe in and so is not logical for us to adopt as a position’.
“We”, you see, were the illogical ones. Now apply this to many of the discussions you see here. Plenty of infiltration by leftist/moderates shouting down people sticking to their guns in the name of ‘logic’ and ‘pragmatism’....which are two very different things....which also escapes them entirely.
I posted with him on a start up forum maybe a couple of years ago. I believe it was True Blue Liberty or something like that, but neither of us lasted very long. Don't know where he went from there.

Heh, I agree. I likened logical discussion on FR to a bell shaped curve, and there are those tapering “tails” on either side that make you look askance at some discussions.

It tends to make one really really carefull if they want to be heard or read.Still,sometimes it can be gut bustingly hilarious watching know-it-alls implode.
Cooler heads on that site eventually turned it over to me and the antifreeping ex-freepers went underground on fb.

Does anyone know what happened to Doctor Raoul? I’ve searched everywhere for him. He shut his phones off, snail mail to him was returned with the note, moved, no forwarding address.
He was always one of my favorites-—we had a group that gathered in DC once in a while to “Freep the Creep” aka Bill Clinton. Kristinn, Doctor Raoul, Clinton’s a Liar—I know I’m leaving several out, but can’t come up with their names right now.........

I personally know a few freepers who don’t post much (if at all) anymore, and when I asked them why, they said it was too depressing to have the decay and destruction of this country by the left shoved into their faces in thread after thread.
I know how they feel. It is why I stopped listening to Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, both of whom I enjoyed listening to, but...there are only so many ways to state the truth without being repetitive.

The Swordman guy used to spam FR with multiple posts a day about the glories of Apple products and had very thin skin when anyone made fun of AppleBoyz. Never recall seeing him post on any thread dealing with politics or conservatism, so I can only assume he was a troll here only to promote Apple stuff that no one asked about. His constant threats to hit the abuse button are not missed.

I am not very quick in conversation, I don’t have that gift of being able to do on-the-fly analysis and formulation of a response.
I enjoy writing, and I feel that it gives me time to formulate and think through what I really mean, which is good for this environment, because people will readily poke holes, and that is fully expected.
Hey, I have my own sacred cows that have been slaughtered and put on a spit over the Free Republic coals here. It makes me realize just how fallible my opinions can be on occasion. It is humbling.

Well, “feeling’ is the new way for a lot of ‘conservatives’ these days. They seem to share that with their supposed enemies. The greatest thing about FR is as you said, the ability to burn through the BS. Lord knows there’s plenty of that lately.
