When the president surrounds himself with children while giving his announcement that reasonable gun control measures are necessary, bear in mind that those ‘assault rifles‘ the government is sure to be going after were not even used in the Newton, Connecticut elementary shooting. As NBC admits in the video above, four handguns were used to carry out that despicable atrocity. This directly contradicts other reports.

This has been the most confusing fact to establish. Did he, or did he not use a Bushmaster AR? If not, as purported by NBC here, then the MSM has deliberately suppressed this information for political purposes.
The video is from Dec 15 and was based upon rumor and gossip, not verified info.
Familiar pattern... the media did their job perpetuating the charade until Obama rolled out his ‘emergency’ legislation. Now they are free to try to salvage their own credibility.
The media claimed a Bushmaster AR was found in a car in the parking lot but if you watch the video, it appears to actually be a shotgun.
Part of the confusion (besides the media rushing to be first with the story and not fact checking) is when the corner said something along the lines of they were shot with the ‘big gun’ people assumed she meant rifles. However, anyone here knows that the diameter of a .223 round is actually quite small and if he had a .45 pistol, that could have easily been considered the ‘big one’.
The long arm in the trunk wasn’t an AR-15 because the deputy is racking the bolt from the side. You cycle the bolt on a AR by pulling the charging handle from the rear.
What you see in the video is a shotgun. The officer ejects a shotgun round from the gun.
So do we need a 9/11 type commission to sort it all out? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? How about some facts?
What did 0bama know and when did he know it?
Does anyone believe NBC’s “admission” will have any effect on the Regime’s narrative?
Questions:
How did the medical examiner make a determination so fast and why was he casually announcing it to the media?
The video of the “long gun” is about 1:22 and shows a semi-auto shotgun. However, that video starts with the trunk already open and the LEO with his hands over or in the interior of the trunk. Where is the video that starts before the trunk was opened?
Why is the LEO handling the “long gun” with his bare hands? Isn’t that destroying potential fingerprint evidence?

I will trust a completed coroner’s report over a reporter who cannot recognize the difference between a shotgun and a AR-15.

You are exactly right ,,, ARs do not have a side action bolt . Any assault rifle with a pistol grip to the Mean Streak Media is an AR-15 in their book .

Its Paul Vance (CT State Police) describing the weapons used (AR-15) and that the gun in the trunk of the car was a SHOTGUN.
This should take long to verify. The police report is in the public domain. A FOIA request may be necessary to get it, but the police can’t keep it secret.

Seeing as the information in both reports is old and inaccurate, I don’t see why we need two threads a day on it.
He actually said “long gun”, not “big gun”, so he was using an accurate technical term, but one that includes both rifles and shotguns, so it invites confusion. He later clarified that by saying specifically the wounds were caused by the rifle.
They did ask whether the rifle was found in the trunk at the same press conference, and it was stated that was not accurate.

He performed seven autopsies himself, and supervised the rest, is how he made his determinations, and he was announcing it at a formal press conference with law enforcement present, not casually.

You’ve got it backwards, this is a report from the day after the shooting, misleadingly posted as if it is breaking news. All the major media outlets have long since reported the correct information, but the conspiracy theorists don’t want you to listen to that, they would rather replay one old, inaccurate report.

That's not true. His source was federal officials not state.
Lt Vance speaking for the state at the ME press conference set the record straight -- the 26 were all killed with the long weapon -- the rifle.

They haven’t released the report yet, so I don’t have an exact number, but the police have said that he fired “hundreds” of rounds.
Just an observation, but the video link you provided appears to have been during the day time, yet the recovery video of the shot gun was done at night time.
How can the shot gun been recovered in the dark when Vance just said the gun had already been recovered?
Bushmaster makes different configurations of rifles the ACR and a carbon 15 model are two of the side charging handle types of bushmaster firearms.
