Libya: As the father of a former Navy SEAL slain at Benghazi wonders why our secretary of state lied to him, we wonder why our CIA director abetted a lie that contradicted counterterrorism officials and the FBI.
During the 2004 presidential campaign, a media eager to deny George W. Bush a second term made Cindy Sheehan, who lost a son in Iraq, a national heroine and reported virtually her every word and move.
"Cindy Sheehan," gushed NBC News, "is single-handedly bringing the Iraq debate to Mr. Bush's doorstep."
But nobody in a mainstream media eager to see President Obama get a second term is bringing the Benghazi debate to the White House doorstep. On all the Sunday talk shows, when Benghazi was brought up, the moderator quickly changed subjects.
On CNN's "State of the Union," Candy Crowley, who came to the aid of President Obama on Benghazi during the second presidential debate, sloughed off attempts by two GOP officials to broach Benghazi.
When Newt Gingrich raised Benghazi on ABC's "This Week," host George Stephanopoulos quickly changed topics. NBC's David Gregory cut off GOP panelist Carly Fiorina when she brought up Benghazi, promising to "get to that a little later." Of course, he never did.
Nor is Gregory or the others likely to pursue an interview with Charles Woods, father of Ty Woods, one of the SEALs killed in Benghazi.
A few conservative outlets have talked to him, notably Fox News, and he's had much to say about how and why his son was abandoned by the government he served.
Woods is especially angry "that apparently the White House situation room was watching our people die in real time, as this was happening."
If Cindy Sheehan had made such a comment, it would have led every evening newscast.

I literally hate the MSM and their minions. Their bias is so obvious and yet people believe they are telling them truth. How easily deceived people are.

Remember that Cindy Sheehan is one of several liberals, along with our politicians, who helped the flotillas of cargo ships get to ports in the Middle East to support the ARAB SPRING.
The reason Ambassador Stevens is dead, is due to the (DEM)Socialist Party of the US providing support to the Muslim Brotherhood Movement. The US is being taken over from the inside, and will probably make an official announcement on Dec. 21, 2012. Good Ole Valerie Jarrett. The head of the New Socialist Caliphate of the Western Hemisphere.
my hatred of the media formerly known as mainstream is only surpassed by my disgust of liberals and progressives

WHAT was the Cindy;s son;s name???
Apparently so. For a while anyway. If the Internet is right for a while journalists, politicians and movie stars flocked to Cindy Sheehan.
But after with time she got a reputation as a crank and faded into obscurity. Now she's being sued by the IRS and running for vice president on Rosanne Barr's Peace and Freedom Party ticket.

THANK YOU!!!! CASEY SHEEHAN....poor soul.
I saw it. This is exactly as it happened. They are doing their best to keep this out of their news.
Alternatively I don't see Romney doing much to make this a election issue. He brought it up in the second debate and then dropped it after that.
Now they (MSM) have the hurricane to talk about to avoid this until after the election. If O wins then the MSM will suddenly be fascinated with the story afterward.
Worst case scenario...
Can an unarmed drone see a mortar position laser designation by a former Navy Seal? If a drone (same) weighing the better part of a ton hits a mortar position manned by Jihadi’s, would that represent a bad day for said mortar crew?
Now the hurricane will make it that much easier for the media to avoid focusing on the questions about Benghazi.
And the MSM is cheering the diversion from Benghazi. Do we need 24/7 reporting on the damage? My heart goes out to the people caught in this horrid storm, but the media - getting its marching orders from the WH - will give us nonstop reporting. I want to hear more on the debacle known as Benghazi. They are hoping this will help zero’s sagging re-election bid.
The media makes me sick, obama makes me sick and so right now - I guess I’m sick. LOL
After we politically destroy THE FOREIGNERS REGIME then we finish the job and financially destroy the leftist anti american punks infested in the MSM. Both deserve nothing better.
Don’t know if the technology is that advanced, but it sure sounds like a good idea.

and have done one helluva good job too. However, this isn’t going away, regardless of who wins.
“...They are doing their best to keep this out of their news....”
all the more reason to keep hammering them with it.
Just got power got back on and catching up out here.
One Big-ass storm for sure... For the first time, I can say that I truly heard “HOWLING” wind. It was definitely an experience. What a sound...
Uprooted a 30+ foot evergreen next to my house, and my son and I literally threw ourselves onto the damn thing to push it away from the house and pull it down in controlled (sorta somewhat that is...) fashion so that I would still have a kitchen... rather lose a section of fence than house.
Nasty couple days, but could have been a lot worse.
Glad to hear you and yours are OK.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith:
Hillary and I were very sorry to learn of the loss of your son. Specialist James E. Smith's death is a great loss for our nation, as well as for us personally, and our hearts go out to you in your sorrow.
Our efforts in Somalia have helped bring security and stability where anarchy, famine, and suffering once prevailed. You should know that your son and his fellow service men and women have preserved the lives of hundreds of thousands of Somalis. Your son's courage, and his commitment to the ideals on which America was founded, will long be remembered with pride by his fellow citizens.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Bill Clinton [signature]

President Clinton:
As a warrior who was disabled in the Vietnam War and as a father of a warrior killed in action in Somalia, I cannot accept your letter of condolence for the death of my son Ranger Corporal James E. Smith. To accept your letter would be contrary to all the beliefs I, my son and the Rangers hold so dear, including: loyalty, courage and tenacity.
During the battle for Anzio, in World War II, an inept indecisive field commander sent the Rangers into battle where they were slaughtered. Fifty years later the Rangers again were ordered into battle, where they were surrounded and outgunned. But this time it was not the fault of the field commanders. No - this time it was the fault of the Commander in Chief, the President of the United States. Your failure to provide the requested combat support reveals a lack of loyalty to the troops under your command and an extreme shortage of moral courage.
I had the honor to meet the Rangers who fought along side my son and were with Jamie when he died. I heard of magnificent acts of courage and sacrifice. I had Rangers, with tears in their eyes, apologize for letting my son die or their failure to break through and rescue the trapped Rangers. The failure is not theirs, it is yours. Trucks and Humvees cannot replace the requested tanks, armored personnel carriers and Spectre gunships.
As a combat veteran I know that there are no certainties on the battlefield; however, as an Infantry Officer I will always speculate that significantly less casualties would have resulted if you, as Commander in Chief, provided the Rangers with the requested combat support - equipment with which Rangers routinely train and for which approval should have been automatic. The Rangers were pinned down for twelve hours - long hours when the Rangers were fighting for their lives and a Delta Force medic fought to save my son. Jamie bled to death because the requested armor support was not there to break through to the Rangers.
Rangers pride themselves on the Ranger Creed. "Driving on to the Ranger objective", or "Surrender is not a Ranger word" are not hollow phrases to the men of the black beret. These soldiers understand the word tenacious and wanted to complete their mission. As Ranger after Ranger told me, they were hitting Aidid's forces and command structure hard. But, the United Nations was actually impeding Ranger missions by offering sanctuary to Aidid's supporters. Your willingness to allow this dangerous situation demonstrates a lack of resolve in supporting the men you sent into battle.
My son is no longer here to "Lead the Way"; however, I am. Until you as President and Commander in Chief are either willing or able to formulate a clear foreign policy, establish specific objectives and, most important, support the men and women in uniform, I will "Lead the Way" in insuring that you no longer send America's finest to a needless death. When you are capable of meeting these criteria, then I will accept your letter of condolence.
Sincerely,

Thanks, brother...
There are lots of people worse off...much, much worse off. Several thousands still without electricity, businesses closed, no money coming in...
This has been a real monster storm. And it wasn’t even as bad as it could have been.
That’s about it isn’t it.
Exactly!
