A liberal who actually gets it: if things don’t get better Obama won’t win in spite of Romney

Jeff Greenfield is a good media liberal. His credentials are in order. He is also a “political reporter” so he has to write positive things about Barack Obama’s chances for reelection, but he can’t quite get there.

Greenfield’s latest column is about the dismal numbers Obama faces at every turn and it is also about how who Obama is running against might not mean anything on Election Day.

Undoubtedly with a great deal of pain Greenfield notes that the numbers staring Obama in the face are such that no incumbent president has ever/could ever overcome them.

He cites the unemployment rate being stuck at 8 per cent “for months” – he couldn’t bring himself to tell the truth and say “for years” (42 straight months); he says a 1.5% GDP means a “very close” election. Next he goes to the right track/ wrong track sentiment voters have which is 32.7/60.7 to the wrong track.

Incumbents he says need at least a 35% positive to win. The consumer confidence level is at 60% – Greenfield points out that Jimmy Carter had a 65% when he lost in a landslide in 1980.

Of course he avoids talking about the huge enthusiasm gap Gallup has reported that shows Republican enthusiasm to vote up 16 points and Democrat eagerness to vote down 22 points since 2008. He must have seen these numbers because he cited Gallup’s right track/wrong track numbers.

He also skipped the fact that Black ministers are so furious with Obama over his Gay marriage support that they are calling him Judas and telling their congregations not to vote for Obama. Nevertheless, he is a liberal so we can’t expect very much truth from him…….

Obama has no chance of winning in November, his only hope was republicans would put up someone so scary they could paint him as worse than Obama, and that didn’t happen.

Obama is the ONLY president in modern history who will have the distinction of having FEWER PEOPLE WORKING the day his term ends, than were working the day his term began! Period!! That’s huge!! That’s not a statistical game, we aren’t talking smaller percentage of americans working, we are talking FEWER AMERICANS WORKING PERIOD!!! The very idea this guy would win re-election, let alone in a landslide is insanity.

The public has long ago made up its mind about this joker, and that decision isn’t going to change. They have written him off, it doesn’t matter what smear he tries agaisnt Romney its not going to work because other than the loyal kool aid drinkers, no one else CARES!!! They really don’t. That is why spending $100 Million + on attack adds hasn’t gained him anything, because it doesn’t matter what he says, folks are done with him.

In fact the more desperate he becomes the lower he’s going to poll! He’s in a death cycle, and probably doesn’t even know it. Obama has a absolute max of 42-43% on election day capable, and the way he’s running his campaign he’ll be incredibly lucky to hit 40%.

Fight like we are losing, but don’t buy the hype that obama is winning, Obama is gone.

I said this on another thread a few days ago, and I’ll repeat it here.

Vote for Romney to stop Obama.

Vote for conservative Representatives and Senators to stop Romney.

I like it, Zircon.

While I still think Obama is the favorite in this race, I will do everything I can to elect Romney. At the same time will do everything I can to hold his feet to the fire to make sure he governs as a Conservative.

Precisely.

The story of this election is going to be the lack of turnout from those who should be his constituents. I believe it's beginning to set in on these idiots that liberalism itself is in danger, and they must get this inept, incompetent joker off the stage.

Sure, blacks and others LIKE him, but are becoming embarrassed for him, and will consider it an act of mercy to stay home in Nov.

The One's veneer of invincibility is no more, he's seen as a loser of the first order. He will be given the hook by his own.
