These 12 Hellholes Are Examples Of What The Rest Of America Will Look Like Soon

Do you want to see where this country is headed? If so, don't focus on the few areas that are still very prosperous. New York City has Wall Street, Washington D.C. has the federal government and Silicon Valley has Google and Facebook. Those are the exceptions. The reality is that most of the country has been experiencing a slow decline for a very long time and once thriving cities such as Gary, Indiana and Flint, Michigan have become absolute hellholes. They are examples of what the rest of America will look like soon. 60 years ago, most Americans were decent, hard working people and there were always good jobs available for anyone that was willing to roll up his or her sleeves and put in an honest day of work. But now all of that has changed. Over the past decade, tens of thousands of manufacturing facilities have shut down and millions of jobs have left the country. Cities such as Cleveland, Baltimore and Detroit were once shining examples of everything that was right about America, but now they stand out like festering sores.

Hmmm, have been in all 12, work in most of them from time to time, In fact will be working in Gary next week. Trying to find something common between them, anything at all no matter how subtle to derive some kind of commonality....anything...hmmmm

Just curious as to who the “we” is? There is no collective we in deciding how jobs are created or destroyed in this country unless your are talking about the government.

There is so much talk about “jobs over seas”, I decided to check out the skinny.
(There are particular jobs which may have been devastated to be sure but this is not the devastation people think).

This is what I found:

Out-sourcing verses in-sourcing:

(2007 last year numbers were available)
For every dollar ($1.00) of wages out-sourced, $1.14 of wages are in-sourced,
which means that in-sourced jobs pay on average 14% higher than jobs that were out-sourced.
6.32 million jobs were out-sourced 2002-2007
6.40 million jobs were in-sourced 2002-2007
for a net gain over five years of 80,000 jobs.

(Source: congressional record analyzing the effects of out-sourcing verses in-sourcing - center for policy analysis, 2008 and Wall Street Journal, 2009)

I worked in about half of those dumps on the list.

While working on a profect in Camden I met a man who grew up there and he showed me photos and newspaper articles from the 1940’s and 1950’s.

Back then Camden was a thriving All-American city.
Nice buildings in good repair, clean streets, prosperous businesses.

By the time I worked there the major industry was welfare and the city was a run down hell hole..

I think it is time for us, Americans, to take the side of America.

Now.

You may not have decided that yet. I have.

And all we need to do is raise taxes on the rich and introduce another stimulus ~ Obunga.

We now know why America was what it was and why Africa is what it is.

“Flint is the birthplace of General Motors and the home of the U.A.W.’s first big strike.”

...and that was the beginning of the end for Flint and other cities across America.

IMHO Opinion the mobs
/unions ruined those places.

And looney here! Who’s in charge of the country now?
A Chicago mob goon, making promises to the workers.

The Mob has moved to Wall street.

Who’s getting bailed out?
SEIU leaders and Wallstreet.
Who gets empty promises? The reg’lar guy.

Funny, but I just so a list of 10 worst states to retire - based on crime rate, life expectancy, % of population under poverty level and average income. The 10 worst (in no particular order):
NC
SC
GA
FL
AL
MS
LA
TN
TX
AR

If these are so bad, why are all the damn Yankees moving there?

Isn't it wonderful how we are able to have a higher murder rate than middle eastern sh!th#l#s that employ suicide bombers?

Think about that for a minute. Some jihadi walks into a market and detonates the vest he is wearing killing dozens and injuring many more..............and the wonderful citizens within the cities of our country HAVE A HIGHER MURDER RATE.

So when they say places like Flint, Chicago, and Gary all have higher murder rates than say Baghdad, this is what you need to consider.

Jihadis in Baghdad vs. 0bama's sons in Chicago; 0's sons are killing more. That should tell you something.

Bring jobs back? To what:
High taxes due to Obamacare.
EPA out of control.
Obama calling small business “starter uppers” deficient.
Unions depmanding too high wages.

This Nation is currently on the road to being very antibusiness in the California model.

A major change in November ia required at the top and the Senate.
