Obama warns Congress, "Don't threaten my power!"

The National Defense Authorization Act of 2013 (NDAA) is making its way through Congress and if it is in any way different from last year’s unconstitutional onslaught against the American public, it is only for the worse.

Last year, Congress overwhelmingly passed and Barack Hussein Obama signed into law the most egregious assault on due process rights in the nation’s history. The NDAA of 2012 gave Obama unlimited authority to have members of the U.S. military detain any American citizen he suspected of posing a potential threat to the United States.

According to the Act, such citizens face an indefinite period of imprisonment with no right of habeas corpus, no right to trial, no right to present proof of innocence and no method of appeal.

In his signing statement, Obama made a point of offering false and cynical protestations against this indefinite detention language, claiming his administration “…[would] not authorize without trial the indefinite military detention of American citizens.” (1) Of course those concerns were no more than verbal crocodile tears as Senator Carl Levin later revealed it was Obama himself who demanded the detention powers be part of the Act. (2)

In mid-May, Obama issued an 8 page Statement of Administration Policy expressing his views on the existing, 2013 version of the NDAA. In it, Obama makes...

Congress needs to challenge the President and see what he would do. Tell him “Go for it and see what happens.” This is about enough of this dictator in chief. Push him until he breaks.

'Last year, Congress overwhelmingly passed and Barack Hussein Obama signed into law the most egregious assault on due process rights in the nation’s history. '

Nonsense. It was the mose egregious assault since the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007.

I believe the Republicans to be cowards and enablers of such encroachments against civil rights and civil liberties, themselves needing these powers in order to entrench their own power.

The Establishment know very well, already, what all is in these pages. From them, you hear crickets.

This is why they give us the tyrant’s evil twin, with the same proclivities.

supported by the full force of the Chicago Mafia enforcers, obozo beats his chest to frighten Congress to not challenge his power. Per usual, the weeping pink shirted Bonehead just stutters and wets himself at the obozo warning.

What exactly is the GOP strategy? Looks like the same-old lay low, don’t be controversial, don’t make the party look anti-populist BS.

When exactly does the GOP intend to fire up voters to send Barry back to Chicago? September? October? Late November? EVER????

The Romney camp can’t do it by themselves, I’d argue that some Congresscritters and State Gov’s need to make it clear that we do not need this inept, limp-wristed metrosexual, marxist not 1 more day beyond 1/21/13.

“And how do you feel about the democrats?”

Obama is playing the democrats just like he is playing the rest of the country. He is shoving his power (usurping his own party) in their faces, they are just too tunnel visioned to see reality. What they do not understand is the repressive, socialist laws will be used against them, if they stray off the plantation.

Watch how the individual Congressmen vote on this thing and you will know just how many of the TEA PARTY reps are actually just as totalitarian and/or corrupted already as the long servers are.

Is the House of Reps Obamas bitch?....
Surely the Senate is...

WHo controls the financial strings of this country?..
The President or the House?..

How can the President work without funds?..
Actually he can’t.. Only the House allows him to do what he is doing..

You know... the republican controlled House of Representatives..
Something is screwed up in River City..

It starts with a “B” and ends with a “R” and that my friends spells “BONER”...

And how do you feel about the democrats?

That's a straw man argument.

How many times do you need to be sold down the river by those who wear your own team's jersey, before you begin to get a clue that both parties are in abject treason to our founding principles and our people?

This isn't a choice between R and D. The only real choice is between tyranny and freedom. Take the third door!

That’s ONLY true IF people keep voting for the incumbent year after year, or for the guy with the most campaign money to blast everyone with his campaign message incessantly. There are, in fact, alternatives in MANY Primaries and Elections, if folks are willing to do their own research and find out who ALL the candidates are BEFORE casting their vote.

People need to take the time => find out about the one without the Party support. Be proactive instead of waiting to be spoon-fed information and entertained -— look at those who don’t have the cash to reach every voter, and see who they are and what they have to offer. A fat campaign bank account, glitzy ads, and professionally written speeches will NOT give you accountable Representation. And then, once you find that diamond in the rough that just might be able to stand up, make the changes, and lead others => get serious and do more than just vote for that person.

I know, wishful thinking -— but also, maybe, the answer to getting the same old thing no matter who the Parties offer up for us to vote for in each election.

The idea that a good candidate will attract money and Party accolades is FALSE. The big money prefers the status quo, because CHANGE is difficult to CONTROL. ALL endorsements favor the incumbent if at all possible. The Party faithful isn’t always a Patriot. The consensus Candidate doesn’t always prefer the Constitution over his own base, or his own goals.

But, as long as people keep voting the same, the outcome will always be the same.

In outcomes, RC, what have the pubbies done for you lately? And what meaningful difference is their between the two parties now?

The R’s have taken the minimalist route on anything you name, EXCEPT when it comes to their Herculean effort to kill off conservative contenders and get a RINO the nomination. The rest of the time is spent on RINO rhetoric from the usual suspects, handing you a real socialist finally for your nominee.

Why? Because we pose no threat to anything they want to do, and so it is guaranteed to get progressively worse.

We pose no resistance. EVER. They own you. You are predictable. You believe this is “the most important election in our lifetime”.

The have gotten you to roll over and bark right on time, every election since Carter and before.
