I doubt that I’ll read his book (Maraniss) but it’s fascinating to see how his subsequent works contradict previous works. I wonder if he corrects himself or somehow explains his errors or mistakes? One would think a thorough researcher would not make errors or mistakes of fact. Either he’s “helping” his friend Obama or he’s just a very bad fact checker. Used to be that journalists would cross check everything and have two or even three independent sources before something became “fact”. The story is all over the Internet in news and magazine articles, stating that Obama’s newlywed parents lived together, raising little Barry in Hawaii, for two years until SAD found out about the other wife and her husband took off for Harvard, leaving “Ann” and their baby behind. But then bloggers find the TRUTH that evaded this thorough researcher Maraniss and four years later he “finds records” that show SAD left for Seattle within weeks of the birth. Which brings me to the conversation you recently had with fantasywriter. It’s interesting that fantasywriter seems to believe that when something’s found in a lot of places on the Web, that makes it true. That’s not “evidence” because one source is copied from place to place to place. This “truth” that Senior and SAD lived together with Barry for two years is everywhere, and yet—it’s not true and it’s not evidence to find multiple places that reported a false “truth”. I’ve seen no independent evidence, for example, that Stanley Ann Dunham graduated from Mercer Island High School in 1960. Proof would be a graduation photo that wasn’t photoshopped. I’ve never seen her in cap and gown. Has anyone?

Zero is still repeating that even now, 'my father abandoned us when I was two years old' - he really has no choice. It's his life story you know, and he can't take it back. The only thing left to him, if things get bad enough, is to blame someone else, and say that his mother lied to him. Now, seeing that she was still alive when he wrote (when Ayres) wrote that book, he's going to have to call a dead woman a liar, because she was still there. Would he do that? Only if he has to.

About the cap and gown, you may have started something, they are probably preparing one for you right now...it's no sooner said than done...in zero wonderland, anything is possible.
