Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin, released a Mother's Day video online last night asking for supporters to voice their opposition to Florida's controversial Stand Your Ground law, and others like it.

This woman makes me sick. She is obviously reading from cue cards, with no emotion in her voice or expressions at all. I love the way they staged her pretending to wipe tears from her eyes at the begninning, when her eyes were clearly, dry.
I have not seen one iota of genuine grief (or even phony grief for that matter) from her or Martin’s father. It is all about being famous, making money and being seen as some sort of “civil rights leaders”.
They have told all types of lies and distortions and have traveled the country trying to stir up lynch mobs and foster racial hatred.
Seeing the behavior of his parents, it is not at all suprising that their son turned out to be a thug. The more I see of them, the more sympathy I have for Trayvon. He dind’t have much of a chance with parents like these.

Also she is extremely deceptive in her claim that 30,000 other mothers lost their “children” to “senseless gun violence” this year. (Her son died by “sensible” gun violence, as the result of his senseless assault on an innocent man).
She implies that 30,000 children die each year from gun violence.
The statistics from an anti-gun lobby that the seems to cite indicate the roughly 30,000 Americans of all ages die from “gun violence” annually. This includes about 18,000 suicides. Would it be better if those 18,000 people overdosed, jumped off of high buildings or took a bath with a toaster?
I’d imagine only a tiny percentage died in “Stand Your Ground” type cases, and in most of those cases the homicides would be totally justified anyway.
If they believe that Zimmerman acted illegally, then Stand Your Ground should be totally irrelevant to the case.
If she hadn’t raised a punk, her Mother’s Day might have turned out different.

It appears to me that she is trying to get status much like Rosa Parks or MLK - the persecuted AA - but to live in infamy.
