VANITY: Haven't Received My Airman Son's Absentee Ballot Yet for NYS Primary

He's in Biloxi MS at Keesler AFB and the Primary is on the 24th. Should I be worried? I had planned on sending his ballot out overnight, etc. etc.

No. He’s in good hands down here. :-)

I would be very worried if the ballot were not in your hands by today. You should call the local election administrator and ask that they deliver your son’s ballot to you by hand.

I’m sure they would do bring one for you that you could then send in.

Shouldn’t the ballot have been mailed directly to him/

(maybe I missed something)

I would call. We handle our USMC son’s ballots the same way. Asking BOE to forward the ballot to the base is a recipe for disaster because of mail delays, we’ve found.

When he entered the AF back in 1/2/2012 he didn’t know where his final MOS would be.

That explains it.

Please thank your son for his service to our country.

He should be able to request one online and get an email ballot. We were able to return ours via email, fax, mail it in, etc. He SHOULD have an assigned person for the unit who oversees military obtaining a ballot. That is how it is supposed to work. By federal law.

He actually did go online back in January and request that his ballot be sent to my street address. The BOE lady just sent me another application for an absentee ballot REQUIRING HIS SIGNATURE!! LOL! I told her he’s not here to sign it!!

You mean to tell me that they require an actual signature of the voter to vote with an Absentee Ballot?

They really are attempting to suppress the votes of absentee voters who always vote more conservative.

Yep. I sent them a copy of the electronic form requesting to have the ballot sent to my house. I read that it would be “electronic signature” not unlike e-filing taxes. . .

NOPE! I have to send that form to him, have him sign it, send it back and then he gets the ballot.

And they want to have no voter IDs for demonrats!!
