The Tea Party declared war on the current GOP establishment. The current GOP establishment has fought back by joining the democrats in ridiculing and marginalizing the Tea Party conservatives. Romney is their front man. He is as much a liberal as Obama is but worse because he keeps his true nature hidden within the GOP-E and not the democrat party where he belongs.
This is not a battle between democrat and republican. This is a battle between ruling class and country class.

Totally agree. ABO or lose our country. There was something very unsettling and creepy watching the video of obama in Colombia. The whole SS thing came across as very odd to me - something sinister about the whole episode.

When you change a statement attributed to another and substitute a word of your choosing, it isn't a “quote”,

Therefore, my statement to you regarding your misquoting me is 100% correct.
Now, if you disagree with my original reply to your Post, which obviously you do, just tell me you disagree with how I expressed my opinion by reading something into your statement that was not your original intent. It's very easy.
Now I will explain to you why I made the original statement.
IF Romney ends up being the Republican Candidate, the General Election will consist of Democrat Obama versus Republican Romney. You stated you would not Vote for Republican Romney, therefore a Vote for Democrat Obama will not be canceled out by your Vote for Republican Romney but instead will result in an additional Vote for Democrat Obama. We call that ARITHMETIC.
Now, if you choose to Vote for a Third Party Candidate or Write In someone to “make a statement”, your exercise in futility will result in FOUR MORE YEARS of being Governed (and I use that term loosely) by a proven Marxist with nothing left to lose.
Obama will be emboldened to double down on his war on Capitalism and Freedom with absolutely no fidelity to the Constitution.
Here is where things get sticky. It appears to me that about half of our fellow FReepers, including you, think Obama and Romney are equals in their view of the United States of America and how they will Govern as President.
The other half think Obama is the worst of the worst and even having to settle for a RINO like Romney would not even come close to doing the damage that Obama has done and will continue to do. That is why I call the reelection of Obama his “Nothing To Lose” Term. Conservatives / Republicans have absolutely no input on Obama’s actions, but I think that we would indeed have influence over Romney the same way we did over President Bush. Immigration Amnesty and Harriet Miers come to mind.
Where you and I get off track is your belief that I am rooting for Romney. I am rooting for Newt, after having done the same for Palin and Cain. The Reality is that I may be zero for three by the time the Primary Election Votes / Delegates are counted.
Your accusations that I am some sort of “Romneybot” are ridiculous on their face and add nothing to the debate, yet you persist. I assume I am not alone as a target of your attacks, but then again I have not researched the issue. If I am that special one, so be it.
If it is inevitable that Romney will face Obama in the General Election, I see no sense in abandoning the Republican Ticket and giving Obama a cake walk back into the White House. You and others disagree. You think Obama or Romney is a fair trade, while many here think four more years of Obama is the end of the game.
So where does that leave you and I? I am tired of this back and forth that will not change any minds or hearts. I have asked you politely to cease posting to me since I see no benefit coming from it. I do not dislike you, and I hope the feeling is mutual, I simply disagree with your view of the situation as many others on Free Republic do.
