Mitt or Rick ? YES like it it not this is OUR CHOICE!

Posted on 02/29/2012 4:05:27 AM PST by Dan.israel.2011

Okay my FRiends, this is it... We have to choose now! Are we going to support Mittens or Rick Santorum.

A vote FOR Newt at this point is a vote for four more years of Obama's MITTens?

Please please please take off your MITTens and put ON your sweater vest!

>> With that insult I turn my other cheek toward you.

Maybe it’d be easier to get your head out if you *spread* your cheeks instead of turning them.

I must say, I never looked at it from the solid delegates point of view, where it looks good for newt.

Let’s see what happens Tuesday. I would hate to think that either we santo supporters or you newt supporters would help Romney. I am ready to switch to newt if he is our only way, and I hope you guys are too.

Wow, some people can’t even have a discussion about politics without personal insults. That doesn’t help newt.

I'm sorry, but it's quite clear that Santorum would not have a chance to win against Obama in the election, and neither would Romney. The democrat machine and their Main Stream Media, would grind them to a bloody pulp in very short order. Newt is the only one smart enough to actually have a chance at generating real enthusiasm with his commitments, plans, and ideas, to win by a landslide.

If Santorum somehow ends up being our nominee, the general election will already be over at that point. The republican electorate will be too depressed to go out and pretend they are excited about a Santorum presidency.

Newt is our only legitimate hope to win the election and save our country from the social and economic disaster that is being currently engineered and carried out by the democrats. There really is no denying that reality.

Newt is still alive and Santorum is in a great position.

Put the bong down, dude. Newt (whom I like) is toast that's getting more burned by the day. Santorum is such a sure loser that Dems crossed over to vote for him. Maybe Duncan Hunter will enter the race.

+1

Excellent and valid point. Almost all journalists are liberals. Virtually every one.

Yet here, on the most independent minded conservative site anywhere, we are stuck with the headlines written by those very same liberal journalists.

I think maybe a solution might be some sort of compromise (we already seem to have this in part) where general/chat can be used as a cover, for writing one’s own title.

Yet this as you observe, relegates the article to a sort of second-class status. As if it’s not “real”, because it wasn’t written by a ... liberal journalist?

Not sure what the solution is but I totally agree with your point, good post.

PS: the FR clock seems to be right today. :D

Newt continues to speak up on multiple pressing issues, with practical and principled solutions. Then ‘voila’ Romney and Santorum weigh in - parroting Newt.

No original observations or proposals from the two ‘front runners’ - just political plagiarism.

Add the media bias and subterfuge - it’s downright diabolical that Newt is either ignored or assaulted.

Depressing!!

Some lame posts don’t warrant serious reply. Sorry.

Did you bother to **read** the post to which I responded? No, I didn’t think so.

Have a nice day.

Thank you being reasonable in your thinking.

You get it... Other Newtons are die hard and Mittens are counting on the die hard Newt Fan Club to hand him the nomination on a silver platter.

Again, this primary is over!

Will we choose mittens or sweater vest to wear to the party.

Newtons are out folks. It is a choice between Mittens or Sweater Vest.

Damn right it’s depressing. Mitt, Rick, or Barky — each advocating ten pounds of government in his own particular five-pound bag.

I want some NEWt ideas, not the same old nannystate overgoverned overspending crapola.

Santorum was basically the lone Conservative in Michigan even with Dem support. He still lost.

Not trying to Offend you but don't be offended by us that voted or are going to vote for Newt. Look at the Exit polls as to why Santorum lost.

He lost the Catholic Vote.
He lost the Women Vote.
He lost both the most important issue is Economy and budget deficit.
He lost the out of work Vote.

You and I have discussed this before. His strongest support is from the Anti-Abortion group while admirably he CANNOT win the General election and probably not the Republican nomination with this one group.

As bad as I have to say it. It the Economy Santorum.

Nobody here is ignoring or assaulting Newt.

The choice we have now is Mittens or Sweater vest.

May I suggest Newt folks put on a sweater vest that says former Newt Supporter for Rick Santorum?

I will support Santorum in a heartbeat over Mitt.I wouldn’t mind seeing a split convention but ONLY IF it will be between Newt and Rick. If there is any way that a split convention puts Mitt in the best seat then I will advocate for Newt or Rick to get out. Let’s all see how the race looks after Tuesday!

YEP!!

Add the media bias and subterfuge - it’s downright diabolical that Newt is either ignored or assaulted.

And the dimwits can't see they are being played - too busy yelling 'don't let the media pick our candidate'. You can't make this stuff up. Millions and years spent on how to fool the voters and the dimwits think they are outsmarting them.

GO NEWT!!

"But that would require you to remove your collective heads from NEWTins rear end."

That is an insult as well. Don't accuse others of what you do yourself. I like Santorum, but I am voting for Newt. Please temper your enthusiasm and stop insulting your fellow Freepers. Let the process work as people vote for the candidate that most closely reflect their values.
