Santorum did pretty decent in Michigan yesterday. He won something like 53 of our 83 counties. Romney won the more liberal areas and Santorum won the Rural vote.
The media set out to destroy him by running with the “Santorum is asking democrats to cross over” narrative without telling the other side of the story.
It was Romney supporters who wanted the open primary and Romney himself has used the same tactic and was using it yesterday. My sister is a liberal democrat and says Romney supporters knocked on her door a couple of times yesterday. She told them that she was a liberal democrat and they said they didn’t care as long as she was willing to help stop Santorum’s radical extremist views.
Wake up? HAH! Newt Gingrich is the one with proven leadership. Rick Santorum is a follower not a leader. Sorry, it is you who needs to wake up, bub.

Santorum people just need to vote for Newt. After all, the Santorum big-goverment liberals said the same thing about Newt voters. I think Sen. Santorum is now coming up with a peice of legislation to help government control the issue.

Take more than half of the Newt numbers from the early primaries and put those in the sweater vest collumn because most of Newts votes came from voters who PREFFERED Rick Santorum but voted for Newt because they lacked the FAITH that their firsr choice could win and made a horse bet rather than a vote... The numbers correct themselves with each primary. Super Tuesday will show this to be true.

This Primary should have been a 'rescue' mission. It is anything but that.
That said; I will vote for whatever Republican is 'last standing'.
The times are far too serious to put a novice in as POTUS. We have watched in horror as a motivated Marxist is methodically destroying our Constitution.
Santorum is a good man - but does not have any executive experience running a gas station - much less a nation of 300 million sheeple wearing sweater vests.
We need a POTUS who has a deep understanding of how, when and where the Federal Government got corrupted and a vision of how to undo the damage. Newt is that man.
That attitude will get you Obama or Obama’s Mittens to choose from in November?

No need to be pedantic. What Dan means is that anyone with media (read: we do not k ow where they get their marching orders so their bias is NOT necessarily a legit part of the process) support, who was “inevitable” 3 years before the election, should not just win by media fawning and trickery. If we don’t want Mitt foisted upon us, which we as conservatives DO NOT, we need to put all our effort behind the one guy who can beat him.
And Newt is far out of the game now. If all the brilliant, strong, fighting FReepers would put their effort behind Rick, we have a chance. Otherwise it could be over on Super Tuesday because people insist on Newt and thus don’t engage in the actual fight.
Maybe JimRob will decide to turn his support for Santorum this week, to help us stop this odious Rom-mentum. That might help.

1. Women voters don`t like Gingrich and refuse to support him.
2. Indies and mods don`t like Santorum and refuse to support him.

I think we all know that if the primaries play out as planned, conservatives will get their chance to cast their ballots for both Mitt AND Rick at the same time in November.

I'm still with Newt! Aside from his having solutions on the issues, he is the only one to admit past mistakes. He's an open book. We are still learning crap about the rest of them.
