“Perry = awful”

I couldn’t agree with you more on this.

“...It’s respect.”

Indeed. It would be nice to vote for a presidential candidate that I RESPECT this time around.

Good point.

The comments on that Wall Street Journallink are pretty pathetic. The prejudice towards Christians is like you see in the Middle East. So we are the knuckle draggers.

Check out Stephen Borsher's comments. Here is a sample from this Christian hater:

"Perry is also part of that demographic; or voting block, if you will. And if you won't it doesn't change the facts. They are all part of the "I don't need facts", "dinosaurs are my direct ancestors", bible-belt holy roller mentality." If anyone made such numb-scull comments at my company they would be called in for their pink slip.

Good points. Sarah did let us know that she would know before the end of August if she will run. If she does not, I am certain she will support Governor Rick Perry. There is a friendship issue there. Both are Tea Partiers. Both should be on the ticket.

The following poll numbers are Reagan’s against President Carter in May 1980, compared to a current Palin vs. Obama scenario.

Carter vs. Reagan: ABC Poll (May 1980)- 58%-40% Carter
18% spread

Obama vs. Palin: PPP (Feb 2011)- 55%-38% Obama
17% spread

Reagan won 44 out of 50 states on Nov. 4, 1980. 489 electoral votes to Carter’s 49.

The Carter/Reagan example indicates to me that poll numbers can be overstated. Keep in mind that Palin has yet to declare she’s running. Add to that... I don’t ever underestimate Palin.

“I have heard many a Palinista complain about her voice...her hair....or a particular speech...or policy...but can’t can’t recall one I thought was a worshiper...”

That’s because there ARE NONE (Palin worshippers).

Wow, thanks for posting this. I’m gonna have to check this out more thoroughly but if true, if only partly true, Perry is one very bad choice. Sends shivers down my spine thinking The Bilderbergers/Progressives/Communists/Democrats could bamboozle the nation again. When will I learn????

I would say she has been running since she left the governorship.

LOL. Then why are you bothering to post on this thread?

Explain, Haley, how my post precludes me from being unconcerned about Palin running?
Perhaps you shouldn't strain so hard to come across as intelligent or even clever. It isn't working, after all.

Eakre—cool down there, little feller. And don’t try pulling the young lady into the mud with ye. A fox cain’t win an ugly contest between a skunk and a possum.

Now back to Palin. Is it really such a bad thing that she has the best record by far on keeping debt down and jobs up?

Is it really so bad that Palin knows how to turn in the bad guys and make them pay, as she cleans up corruption?

Do we want corruption in Washington to continue, or do we want President Palin? Pick which one.

You don’t get it do you butt munch?

Show me once where I said something derogatory about Palin.

I am talking about you and others looking as stupid and off putting as the blind Obamabots.

Bub, I am talking about you making a fool out of yourself not Palin. Let me repeat ass kissers like YOU are the problem not Palin.

Ping me back if you are still too stupid to understand what I am saying and I’ll try to further dumb it down for you.

Note, it is a shame you consider yourself a skunk. Probably the way you were raised.

“DENIAL”

Being accused of being in denial isn’t really anything to argue about. It’s one of those terms that the lay person takes and uses to psychobabble, I think.

People who are in denial, and there are varying degrees of it, usually IT’S OBVIOUS that there’s a problem. They’re using (not really the right word, it’s more unconscious than that) this defense as a way to maintain some sense of sanity.

Here I’m speaking of clinical denial (which is actually not a disorder, rather a functional system taken to extreme).

Denial and all other defense mechanisms are a functional part of what gets us through the day without becoming paralyzed with our emotions.

WE ARE ALL IN DENIAL.

Illustrative example: driving. We all drive, we know logically that there looms the very real possibility of death, serious injury, maybe large monetary expense, trauma, every time we do it. We see evidence of this daily on the highway, or on the news, we know people who have been so harmed, many of us have even been harmed by this. The evidence of the dangerous nature of this activity is there daily. Yet we do it.

I know of a grade school teacher who’d point at kids and say “You’ve got ancestors.”... just to creep them out. Kids not knowing what ancestors are would think it was some sort of disease or lice or something.

I think accusing people of being in denial just for sport is the same sort of thing.

Thanks...It’s been entertaining. :-)

Simmer down, hoss. If possums and skunks get you that riled, just let me know which four footed critter you prefer and I’ll be glad to oblige.

As for the rest, I’m having a hard time getting my mind off Sarah Palin’s rock solid record as Governor. The record stands on its own, and it would be rock solid no matter who owned it.

It’s the record I’m looking at. The record that kills debt, frees the market and puts the criminals in jail.

...cool down there, little feller. And don’t try pulling the young lady into the mud with ye. A fox cain’t win an ugly contest between a skunk and a possum.

Your silly display of insecurity with that cute little dash of misogyny thrown in isn't going to hide the fact that you flat-out put words in someone's mouth in order to support your agenda.

You still haven't managed to back this up yet, have you?

So you’re saying we should completely ignore Sarah Palin’s record as Governor of Alaska, and prior to that as Commissioner and Mayor?

You’re saying we should abandon the adult way of doing things and act like children, throwing silly names around instead of facts?

When and where did Eaker say anything even remotely similar to that?

You're busted and apparently not man enough to admit it. Instead, you blow some more smoke out, desperately hoping we're dumb enough to buy it.

The message is simple: It's not Sarah Palin that's the problem. It's the people who gush and fawn execessively over her, turning normal voters off.

When this gets pointed out by some of us, there are always those few who start yapping like a pack of Paultards, making us wonder if perhaps you're the ones who have shrines to Saint Sarah in your homes or something.

Seriously, I hate to see supporters of a decent candidate acting like a bunch of Paul-cultists or O-bots.

That's all there is to it, so you can stop freaking out now.

Then quit acting like a drunken high-schooler who just saw their first pair of boobs.

In other words Chief, act like a grown up.

That’s what I’m talking about.
