Palin couches her supporting amnesty for illegal aliens with a program requiring them to register to remain in the country. That program would not start until after she determines the borders are secure, whenever that maybe. She considers upholding current federal immigration laws by deporting illegal aliens as inhumane.

Donald Trump (10% Votes)

Michele Bachmann (7% Votes)
Sarah Palin does not have a very good track record with illegal immigration. She does not seem to think it is an important issue. Mitt Romney is way too liberal. I don’t know that much about Cain or Trump.
Michelle Bachman is all around good conservative.
The Republican Party needs to close their primaries so that independents do not choose a RINO candidate. Independents need to stand with the country or with the DEMS and their far left marxist and socialist agendas.

TPaw has definitely screwed the pooch based on his milktoast interview on Hannity tonight and his totally uneducated remarks about the birth certificate. This moron actually said on Hannity tonight that CNN had reported that they had seen BHO’s birth certificate so he is satisfied. I know we drank a lot of wine tonight but I turned to the fiancee’ and said “Maybe we take a harder look at The Donald”.

If he is, then I say FAKE AWAY!!!!
He has more balls than anyone else around that I see.
If he ends up caving on this, and at some point announces his confidence that Obama is legit, then I’ll be on your side.
We still have close to 2 years left in this next election cycle, and everyone knows that the very last month is the only one that really counts or will be remembered...
So if Trump is faking, I say we give him every bit of support and lift in the polls that we can anyway, to force this issue out in the open where it belongs. As we get closer to election, I’m sure the truth will come out as it usually does... even though we know it won’t get reported.

He also said GW was the worst President in US history.
I want the truth to come out about Barry`s Birth/school records, but it isn`t going to happen, so why you want Sarah to commit political suicide is beyond me.
Obama will just keep cracking jokes about it,maybe years from now we learn the truth?
Also Trump is only mentioning Barry`s birth certificate because he thinks you might vote for him, he does not believe or even care one way or the other, same thing about him all of a sudden being pro life etc

Sarah’s winning this going away, and she should.
I saw her on Greta last night and her position on the Libya thing was very similar to that expressed by John Bolton on the same show. In fact, it was also similar to views of Donald Trump later on Greta.
Trump had a great rant and was loads of fun to hear. He also made a lot of sense.
He’s not a viable candidate but I say Go, Donald.
Some people have weird ideas, unsupported by facts, about what Sarah thinks about issues.
She will tell you exactly what she thinks and she won’t be lying.

All probably true... and don’t get me wrong... I’m quite wary too...
BUT... what happens if he emboldens OTHERS to do the same in the process... like Sarah?
what if what Donald is doing ends up backfiring on the dems who sought to discredit the movement, and end up strengthening it instead???
If Trump thinks i’ll vote for him solely on the BC issue, he is sadly mistaken. But for now, I’ll ride this “trojan” all day long.

The aura of trustworthiness around Sarah Palin is real. She’s trustworthy because she’s honest. (This means she doesn’t manipulate, and she doesn’t tell lies.)
False doubts fabricated by special interests can do nothing to diminish the fact that Palin can be trusted with immigration policy just like on everything else.

The one thing missing isPalin never said that.
Think again.
Amnesty(Palin Interview with Univision)
As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported? Palin:
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration. My comment: Palin is saying enforcing the current federal immigration laws is not humane. She must think President Eisenhower was inhumane since he deported 1.3 million illegal aliens to create work for Americans, particularly veterans.
Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
Palin:
No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. My comment: Not total amnesty? In other words she supports partial amnesty. Partial amnesty.
To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants
Palin:
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here.. My comment: Pathway to citizenship is spin for amnesty for illegal aliens.
Interview with Bill O'Reilly:
Illegal Immigration: O'Reilly batters Sarah Palin on amnesty vs solutions (video & transcript)
Excerpt:
O Reilly: (interrupts) But what do you do with these folks? Do you make them register with the federal government? Do you tell them they have sixty days to get outta here before we put you in jail? What do we do with them?
Palin:
Palin: Do we make them register with the Federal government? Yes, we do. We have to
O Reilly: (interrupts) Alright, So you don't reward the bad behavior. You make them register with the federal government. Say you give them sixty days to register with the fed gov., there's a form at the Post Office they have to send like a census form, alright. Say they don't do it? Alright.
Palin:
You deport them.
O Reilly: (interrupts) Ok so After a period of time, the ones that don't cooperate then you catch them, they're gone. Now you have these people that register. You are going to have millions of them. Then they register and they say - ok we obeyed what President Palin told us to do -then what? - do you give them green cards to work right away, what do you do with them?
Palin:
You know there has to be that expectation that they will work and that they will contribute. Bill, It makes me uncomfortable that we're even going down that path so far when ...
O Reilly: (interrupts)You have to though.
Palin:
No, no
O Reilly: (interrupts) You have to go down that path, it's gonna come up.
Palin:
No. American citizens who are - who are here lawfully - they need to be the ones with the first shot at getting these jobs. We cannot make it easy on those who have chosen to be illegal - illegally here, to disobey our laws. No! My comment- However she will allow them to work and live in the country so long as they register without having to leave the country and enter legally per current federal immigration laws.
O Reilly: No, we can't make it easy, but they're here and we can't starve them to death. And If they can't work, if they don't have a green card to work, ah, they're gonna be hosed. I mean they gotta pay rent, they gotta buy groceries, this, that and the other thing. I mean this is where it gets very complicated, Governor. You know it gets very, very complicated - because you are rewarding bad behavior. You let them stay in the United States because they came in illegally.
Palin:
Then let's keep it, then, then we won't complicate it any more. Let's keep it simple. And let's say no that if you are here illegally, if you don't follow the steps that at some point in immigration reform that we are going to be able to provide that will allow you somehow to be able to work - if you are not going to do that, then you will be deported. You will be gone. My comment- The current federal immigration laws are already simple if they they were merely enforced! Palin's registration scheme would not only make the process more complicated but would eviscerate federal immigration laws!
Paling couldn't be more disingenuous. Registering illegal aliens allows them to remain in the country for at least the period they have to registered if not permanently. That is amnesty! These people have already demonstrated they have no regard for the rule of law. Many of them will never register. They will have time to scatter and go underground during the registration period. She would never be able to deport them at that point. In the end they would remain here permanently even without registering. Palin essentially would allow illegals to have priority over the thousands of foreigners waiting to enter the country legally. All this would happen only after she deems the borders secure thereby allowing illegals to remain in the country far beyond the registration period.

False. You are putting words in her mouth that she didn’t say, but that you want her to say.
Think of it this way. Would you support total amnesty? No. So your answer would also be “Not total amnesty.”
Read this again, and stop trying to put words in her mouth she didn’t say:

False. You are putting words in her mouth that she didnt say, but that you want her to say.
That is her quote from the interview.
Palin's quote you cite "We cannot make it easy on those who have chosen to be illegal - illegally here, to disobey our laws. No!
This statement couldn't be more disingenuous since she will be making it easier for them to remain in the country while giving while in the country and permanently, at least for some, once they register. That's after some indeterminate amount of time passes before she decides the borders are secure. That is amnesty for illegals regardless how you spin the concept.
If she is so adamant they obey our laws then why doesn't she support enforcing the current federal immigration laws that require all illegal aliens be deported and do not include allowing them to remain in the country by registering?
To: Defend Liberty
Her quote doesn’t prove your point. Only your words, the words you want to put in her mouth, seem to make sense.
But only to you.
