Angle Campaign: Reid statement on unemployment shows disconnect

RENO, NV - U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle today said she is dismayed by the latest unemployment figures for Nevada and said they reflect “the utter failure of the Reid approach to the U.S. economy.”

The newest numbers showed Nevada’s unemployment rate at 14 percent, the highest in the nation.

During a Senate speech earlier today,Harry Reid stated that the Nevada economy “is getting better but not good.”

Angle spokesman Jerry Stacy responded by saying things are not getting better but getting worse.

“Reid’s response reflects just how out of touch Harry Reid is with the plight of Nevada families,” Stacy said. “It is now clearer than ever that the Obama/Reid agenda of increased government spending, oppressive regulation of business and the uncertain effect of Obamacare and a massive tax increase when the 2001 tax cuts expire in 2011 is only adding fuel to the fire. We need proposals to help, not hinder, businesses from hiring new workers and give them certainty on taxes and regulation.”

If the GOP doesn't use Harry's infamous interview where he says Federal Income Taxes are voluntary in its campaign ads, it will never see a dime from me. If you haven't seen the video, one copy is at:

He is such a buffoon, I don't understand how he remains in office.

I quit giving to the GOP. Individual candidates get my money. They very idea that the GOP could use my money to get McCain reelected sends horrifying shivers down my spine.

He remains in office, thanks to the idiot unions.

Hopefully, enough sensible people will vote him out in November.

Just weld those to names together and form the term “ObamaReid”. No hyphen, no slash. The campaign should add it to the spell check dictionary. Fuse that anchor to Harry’s campaign.

Telling thousands of unemployed to “imagine what the numbers would’ve been if we hadn’t passed the stimulous” is talking down to them. He’s saying, “hey, dumbass. You’ll fall for any BS I can come up with! Because you’re stupid and I’m smart”.

Whoever’s advising Reid, keep up the good work!

If part of the definition of a recession is massive loss of jobs, how can anyone say that we now are enjoying a “jobless recovery?” Is that not the ultimate spin? And if dimlibs can use verbiage like that with a straight face, how can anyone ever justify taking them seriously?

Hopefully enough sensible people will vote him out in November.

I saw an email that was circulating last week with photos of an anti-Harry rally in NV...the crowds were HUGE! However, I saw nothing of it covered in the MSM. Now, why do you suppose that is?

They aren’t even counting all the kids who just finished high school and college and need jobs.

I quit giving to the GOP. Individual candidates get my money. They very idea that the GOP could use my money to get McCain reelected sends horrifying shivers down my spine.

And Snowe and Collins and Graham, etc.

It is party politics, a politic of mustering a crowd of yes-men that in order to get support (money, press) they must say, and vote, how the organization wants them to say and vote, in order of course to remain in their fat egocentric lifestyle as professional politicians (collecting that salary, privileges, and retirement for life).

And how clear is it when the Republican Party will not expose and speak out on Barack Obama et.al.’s sinister ideological agenda to create a society of government dependent and controlled human units, ala the Borg?

The US Federal Government has become a really ugly self-perpetuating monster; there are both Democrats (virtually all) and Republicans who want it that way.

How obvious has it become? One big deception, sometimes consciously planned, sometimes just subconsciously perpetrated by those who benefit.

One part of the solution is term and benefit limits. Another part is clearly speaking out by all of us (does anyone seriously think the Republican Party will do that)? Another part is third or more parties, regardless of ideology (left or right) to air our the issues, to air out agenda’s. And of course another part is to dismantle the federal government and stop giving it money

“Until the IRS catches up with you..”

Likewise, under Obamacare, purchasing health insurance will be voluntary...until the IRS catches up with you.

George Orwell was prophetic but slightly off: “doublespeak” did not arrive in 1984 after all (when Ronald Reagan showed the nation and world how a U.S. president leads). Instead it arrived 24 years later.

The media bias is astounding. We don’t have journalism anymore; we have propaganda.
