“We are going to need a strong, conservative candidate who has not been eviscerated by the news media”

Any “strong conservative candidate” the GOP puts up against Obama is going to be “eviscerated by the news media.” After he gained the nomination, McCain was attacked by the media. Had he fought harder, like Palin, McCain would have been attacked more.

We need to change the public’s perception of the media.

If we're going to let the media pick our candidate, why have primaries? Let's just pick Mitt now, or, better yet, Mark Kirk. The media will love Mark Kirk until he gains the nomination and runs against Obama.

Jeez!

It’s going to be Romney or Palin.

That will be what it comes down to.

Actually, it is 9 years not 16 of "executive" experience. 9 of those years were as mayor of a town smaller then Mayberry.

Being mayor of a town of 6,000 people is hardly preperation for the White House.

I still a SP fan, but I just can’t see where she has done enough to overcome the msm slurs about her. We need someone who is going to ride roughshod over 0bama in a debate. So far Ryan, DeMint and Bachman are the only ones that I see as capable of doing that.

Do you support Sarah Palin as GOP nominee for Presidential candidate in 2012?

Absolutely ... and I'll be voting for her (and I already voted for her once).

But, I would also defer to her decision on the right timing for a run. She may think it's a good time and then again she may not. She may go for the next one after.

Again, I'll be voting for her whichever way she picks it... I just don't know what she's going to pick ...

Yes, staying as governor would have made a lot of sense. She was $500k in debt because of frivolous lawsuits and Obama was attacking her in every way possible.

Instead, she resigned knowing that her hand-picked lt. governor would follow in her footsteps.

The result: the “quitter,” as you put it, has been beating on Obama as he was a pinata for the past 10 months. And Sean Parnell has a huge lead in the polls, according to Rasmussen today.

Just be glad there's no IQ test required to post on FR.

I’m starting to think that the liberal media is right.

Conservatives really are stupid.

Todays highlight is the thread where....countless Freepers, not just the kook Paul crowd, are dinging Palin for financially supporting Portman in Ohio.

Portman has won the primary and faces an uber leftist Dem.
Portman’s conservative rating is 90% on ACU.

WTF is happening to this website ????

Really.....REALLY?? Do you really want to go there? Exactly how much “executive” or leadership or budget management or business management or foreign policy experience did the Usurping beast currently illegally occupying the oval office have before he was elected by an ignorant liberal base?

Sorry, but any talk of “experience” goes out the door now that this inexperienced corrupt manchild is in our whitehouse.

Sarah has become the pinata. It’s juvenile. Not merited, not pretty. One would think that she’s holding the seat of power in Washington, DC, not the one trying her best to defeat the Marxist and his Marxist party in power!
