I wonder how much longer the media will attempt to spin the Fort Hood massacre as pre-virtual vicarious Post Traumatic Stress Disorder...
Closing your eyes to a situation you do not wish to acknowledge does not mean that the situation does not exist. It is the somewhat more dignified version of sticking your fingers in your ears and singing, La la la la, I cant hear you!

The are alreadt trying to spin it as ‘secondary ptsd’...as a psychiatrist, he heard enough war stories from patients, that it affected him...
No kidding!...which in some way makes this, you guessed it, Bush’s Fault!
I wonder, if a white guy went into a mosque, and shot a couple dozen muslims, if the media would at least call it a ‘hate crime’.
The media will keep spinning it because that story fits their agenda. They’re opposed to the war in Afghanistan, and think the jihadis are quite reasonable.
The only time Hasan experienced traumatic stress was when he got shot. And since he was in a religion-induced stupor at the time, I doubt that even bothered him.
It was a act of terrorism.

Has anyone considered the global warming effect on terror? /s
And yet, even Time Magazine is still trying to spin it as “secondary trauma”. Yeah, right.
The media really do think we’re stoopid.
Strictly speaking, terrorism is an act calculated to provoke fear among the civilian popluation and a violent reaction in response by the government.
I have secondary trauma from reading Time Magazine.
