Sarah Palin As The Next President Is Absolutely Impossible
Citizen Palin 4 President ^

Posted on 10/19/2009 11:55:49 AM PDT by MaxCUA

On July 3rd, 2009, Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska, and nailed the following sign to her door: “Men Wanted For Hazardous Journey. Small wages. Bitter cold. Long months of complete darkness. Constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success.”

This, the most famous newspaper advertisement ever penned, placed its original author, Sir Ernest Shackleton, in the position of having to select the crew for an Antarctic expedition from among the 5,000 men the ad brought to his office. Comparing Sara Palin to the greatest explorer in history might appear to stretch the limits of metaphorical license, even for an Irishwoman given to hyperbole. I contend, however, that it pales when compared to likening a revolutionary idealist with two weeks of Presidential experience, to Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa, or Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I believe that Sarah Palin, will be the next President of the United States, and that the secret to her success can, oddly enough, be found in characteristics she shares with one of the greatest Explorers of modern history, Sir Ernest Shackleton.

Even I know that one, and I’m a civilian. :)

PALIN 2012.

Really? How about this title from 2005...

Barack Obama As The Next President Is Absolutely Impossible.

As much as I agree with her conservative views, I think the MSM has done irreparable damage to her. They worked their plan to perfection.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Does the article predict that she can or that she can’t? It sounds like the article says that she will do the impossible and become president.

One paragraph more into the linked page:

“It is obvious that the election of Sarah Palin as the next President is absolutely impossible. Not only is she consistently attacked and misrepresented in the media and by the majority of “opinion makers,” but even in the Republican Party, her own ship, she is considered something of an Jonah, better to be thrown to the sea. The Endurance is a perfect image of Sarah’s political career, as it sank beneath the weight of external belligerence and the unrelenting, grinding pressure of her opponents. Her prospects were also mangled by the internal betrayal of former supporters and promoters because of their desperate need to pin their own failures on a woman they underestimated and deemed expendable. Like Sir Ernest, one can literally picture Sarah surveying the wreckage, and it is precisely in this moment that we see her leadership emerge.”

Without a doubt. But for the time, the attacks on Nixon were unprecedented. And Tricky Dick was absolutely right about the "silent majority." This time, we're not so silent.

Sarah can win, if she has a well organized, well funded grassroots machine. She should go through local news organizations in every state, while avoiding Obama’s government media, and tie it into a State’s Rights platform. She should also start surrounding herself with people who can take on the gargantuan task of salvaging America from Obama’s efforts to destroy it.

So then they are done with her? I mean, why bother continuing their campaign against her if they have already destroyed her right? Oh, they still have work to do? In other words they haven’t destroyed her yet? If she can take all these attatcks and survive (which she has) the msm has failed.

Thank you. Your idea of her becoming a Senator in 2010 and get busy campaigning is right on. This should give time for the GOP to realize this is the only chance they have and give plenty of time for her to work on a VP.

I agree. Nixon overcame and Palin’s attacks were more vicious. Mostly due to the availability of the web and other avenues of propaganda utilized by the MSM. I worked Nixon’s campaign on the local phones, and will work Palin’s. Palin’s campaign, if she chooses to run, will be successful depending greatly on the staff she selects to combat the trashing she has taken in the press. She’s gonna need some smart cookies at her marketing desk.

Nixon managed to overcome the same problems in his day.

Nixon was an accomplished Vice President for 8 years under a popular President. Sarah on the other hand, quit.

Nixon also didn't have the family problems she does.

The only way she gets in if Obamalamadingdang F's up this country so much that no matter who the Republicans put up they will win, which of course is a possibility.

Definition of survive: The ability to have a top-selling (though unreleased) book after a year of incessant attacks.

The ability to have the media wag their tongues regarding facebook posts (or regarding anything else she says) after losing the election.

The ability (assumed but not proven yet) to raise a lot of money for her political future after taking the unprecedented step of resigning from the Governorship.

The ability to have the president specifically try to counteract her effectiveness: speech to congress regarding death panels...after being a failed vp candidate.

The ability to garner more attention than any other GOP (potential) candidate even though she lives in Alaska.

Nixon also had lost a race or two, before his success.
Nixon was almost forced off the Eisenhower ticket, and saved himself with the “Checkers” speech.

Sarah as FAR more experience, NOW, that BO did, before he was elect.

Also, Obama’s experience, so far, has been a BAD EXPERIENCE for the country!

America is looking for, long for, praying for a leader. Until she proves otherwise to me she’s leading the pack among potential leaders I would follow.

The attacks have been more vicious on Sarah Palin than they were on Richard Nixon, but . . .

In Nixon's day there was no ‘new’ or ‘alternative’ media! The MSM is no longer the sole purveyor of information. The MSM is starting to figure that out, but most them still manage to ignore the warning signs and go right on acting like they are still King of the Mountain.

In three years who knows which of the MSM bunch will still be standing, and who knows how much stronger the new and alternative media will be!

I can think of nothing I would rather do to seal their doom than work my ass and my pocket book off for Sarah. If there is ever a message to be sent to the Left and the MSM the election of Sarah Palin would be it! We can start by making sure her upcoming book breaks all records!

After putting her book over the top we need to make sure her campaign coffers are overflowing. Send all the money that would have normally gone to the RNC and divert it over to her.

Good point. The GOP should only support "republicans" who pass muster with the Mainstream Media (or who pass until the GOP convention). That way we'll get strong candidates who have a chance, like ... um ... McCain ... and not true conservatives who offer an alternative to Big Government. And letting MSNBC/CBS/CNN/NYT choose the republican candidate would be good for America ... why?

If you have a chance please watch Sarah’s interview with Matt Lauer in June when she was in Texas discussing the pipeine deal.

IMHO, Sarah can overcome the “damage” the media has done to her by doing two things she did in that interview; wear her hair up and smile less. She was awesome in a wonkish way.

I fear they will feel it mandatory to come up with the next higher level of character and personal assassination. I think their fear of her is actually palpable. You can bet they have teams sitting around thinking up new ways to mess with her.

Personally I would love to see a Draft Sarah movement started right now. One that would make as much noise as possible. Work our butts off to fill her coffers to overflowing spread the word. I would like to see 2012 arrive and her support be such that it would give anyone thinking about tossing his or her hat into the ring real pause.

I know it’s a big order, but something has to be done or we’re going to be railroaded once again by the NRC big wigs into being forced to support a RINO or sit out the election. I can’t take that again. Even now, McCain is a cannon loose on deck. You never know what he’s going to come up with, or what he’ll say or do. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the man as a patriot who gave a lot to serve his country, but he’s just too much of a maverick to be of any real good to us at this point.

Until she gives us reason to think otherwise we’ve got to keep her name right out there, up front, for all the world to see. Even if it doesn’t get her elected such a full court press would rid the world of all the Lefties and MSM types whose heads would explode.
