The Zionist ideal of a Jewish state is keeping Israelis and Palestinians from living in peace.

It's hard to imagine now, but in 1944, six years after Kristallnacht, Lessing J. Rosenwald, president of the American Council for Judaism, felt comfortable equating the Zionist ideal of Jewish statehood with "the concept of a racial state -- the Hitlerian concept." For most of the last century, a principled opposition to Zionism was a mainstream stance within American Judaism.
Even after the foundation of Israel, anti-Zionism was not a particularly heretical position. Assimilated Reform Jews like Rosenwald believed that Judaism should remain a matter of religious rather than political allegiance; the ultra-Orthodox saw Jewish statehood as an impious attempt to "push the hand of God"; and Marxist Jews -- my grandparents among them -- tended to see Zionism, and all nationalisms, as a distraction from the more essential struggle between classes.

I agree. If we killed all the Jews and converted to Islam, we would have peace. Of course we would be praying to Allah 5 times a day and women would be treated like animals and have to be covered from head to toe, but hey, it is peace.

Pure unadulterated hooey. Marxists have always been inconsistent about nation and class. Eg, they branded Zionism "bourgeois nationalism" but saw no problem with Irish nationalism, Arab nationalism, Black nationalism, and even French Quebec nationalism. Furthermore, between the mystical "indigenous peoples" and the new "oppressed" (homosexuals, women susceptible to pregnancy, etc.) the "class struggle" has been thrown on the ash keep of history. Shoot, the only "class struggle" you'll find nowadays is the one that's part of Strasserism.

If the Palestinians would disarm, there would be peace, more or less. If the Israelis would disarm, there would be peace, but only after the Pali-boys had killed all the Jews.
Not even so sure about that. Violence is the only language Islamonazis understand. If Jews like Ben Ehrenreich had their way and allowed jihadis to exterminate his own people, how long do you think it would be before they turned their wrath upon Christians, Hindus, secularists, rival Muslims and eventually even their own families?

Seems like a big part of his problem is that his only connection to his Jewishness is as some kind of ethnicity or a secular philosophy. He needs Judaism in his life.
