Banks Derided for Stingy Credit Policies
Semi-News/Semi-Satire | 14 Feb 2009 | John Semmens

Posted on 02/14/2009 10:05:01 AM PST by John Semmens

Disappointed that the banks aren’t making more loans, Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) suggested that “since the government now owns these banks, we should ensure that the money in them is used for the proper purposes.”

“Banks are hoarding their money,” Kucinich argued. “They aren’t handing it out to people who need help like we want them to. Congress may have to step in so we can allocate these funds ourselves.”

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D- Mass) accused the banks of “being extraordinarily ‘anal’ with the funds. They’re sitting on this money when they should be spreading it around.”

Representative Maxine Waters (D-Calif) bizarrely characterized bank executives as “dark knights” who would be well-advised not to go against the wishes of President Obama, who she characterized as “the Joker.”

The “Joker” himself, President Obama echoed his fellow Democrats’ sentiments saying, “The banks, the businesses, the taxpayers—most ordinary people in general—are consumed by small, petty things. We need to get more of the nation’s resources into the hands of those who will do great things with this money.”

Satire fails when it is identical to and indistinguishable from reality.

Reprising the same class warfare rants that started this whole mess - "Anal" is just a new spin on "red lining".

They want the money back in the hands of the same people who have defaulted in the past, apparently their only concept of a functioning banking system being the power to print more money.

I'm waiting to see how many of these "infrastructure" dollars get spent on grand statues of our new revolutionary heroes, memorials to the greatness of hope, and all the other fascist symbols we once sought to tear down in other people's lands.

A simpleton’s metaphor for class warfare: banks have money and you don’t; therefore, banks are greedy and evil. These illogical, “victim” obsessed, mental midgets in Washington haven’t learned a damn thing about how we got into this mess.

"...Barney Frank (D- Mass) accused the banks of “being extraordinarily ‘anal’..."

And if anyone would know about "anal," Barney'd be the one...

Well, he's the expert.

Maxine gets one right - quite unintentionally, I'm sure.

I would like to take a loaded baby diaper and stuff it in Franks and Kucinich’s mouths...these are the two most dispicable human beings on the planet, next to Pelosi and Reid. Leahey runs a close five, it is sad that these people are in politics, because none are quality people, with such sleazbags of the worst kind it is no wonder our country is in such trouble. How can we expect company CEO’s to act responsible, when our elected officials are so careless with taxpayer monies. Government officials should be setting the bar for behavior, but that zoo in Washington is like one big monkey pit.

I thought the same thing. Hate to be graphic, but it’s funny to hear openly homosexual Barney Frank talk about the banks being anal.

Maybe banks would loan money if interest rates rose.
