The problem with focusing on gross revenues is that it does not break out how much went to production costs, how much to regulatory costs, how much to salaries and benefits, how much rolled back into R&D, etc.
Showing only the gross revenues is usually a trick employed by leftists to “prove” that some company is engaging in exploitative and unfair profit.
