Darren Wilson and the status quo (Up is down, night is day, etc.)
The St. Louis American ^ | November 20, 2014 | Jamala Rogers

Posted on 11/20/2014 11:56:08 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

In the 100-plus days since Mike Brown was gunned down by Darren Wilson, we have seen incredible incompetence and intractable racist behavior by the white power structure in the St. Louis metropolitan region. Every week since August 9 there have been acts of defiance and missed opportunities to show real leadership because of institutional racism.

As tensions mount in anticipation of the grand jury announcement, we have to ask ourselves, “Why is an entire system working so hard to protect one cop?”

We are now on the brink of the grand jury announcement with plenty of angst and fear to go around. As guns fly off the retail shelves and the mainstream media over-exaggerates the extremes on both sides, one lone fact has deliberately been clouded to divert our attention. Regardless of the circumstances (which we are still piecing together), an unarmed teen was shot down by police. Remember this.

Darren Wilson's most devoted followers seem to be mainly white folks in the law enforcement community, their families and friends. But Wilson also has white allies in high places like Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch, Gov. Jay Nixon, Senator Claire McCaskill and a host of others who refused to work to create an environment of justice in this case. This is a clue to Wilson's importance.

Another group of white allies feel they have a dog in this fight – the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK has vowed to use “lethal force” against “terrorists masquerading as peaceful protestors” – a view apparently shared by the white decision-makers who have authorized the use of a militarized response to non-violent protesters. Frank Ancona, Imperial Wizard of Missouri’s KKK Chapter, has publicly boasted that Ferguson has been great for their recruitment efforts.

The need to maintain white supremacy and uphold the system is what is playing out in Ferguson. Police or the Klan (or a combo) have been instrumental in repressing and controlling those who dare challenge that system; their roles in propping up a racist system is indispensable. What used to be strange fruit hanging from Southern trees is now taking the modern form of black men and women being in the wrong place (Trayvon Martin) or making white people feel threatened (Renisha McBride).

As white allies for white supremacy align, many sectors of our society are joining in the chorus for much needed change in policing methods, court procedures and discriminatory laws. Documentation of police abuse and prosecutorial misconduct are rife. We are bombarded daily with videos of police brutality. Yet evidence of police raping, stealing and killing citizens is met with justification and resistance. The message is that the system must be protected at all costs – even if it means that the results are mistrust and hate of those we pay to insure the carriage of justice.

In Ferguson, the pillars of a racist institution are being shaken at its foundations. Those who’ve been allowed to use it as cover, no matter what they’ve done, are now feeling the heat and they will fight to the end to preserve it.

On one side are fair-minded citizens who want a society that guarantees the human and civil rights for all, not just those with the right skin color or the resources to pay for it. On the other side are those who feel like the status quo that upholds white rights must be protected at all costs.

Just like this fight has transcended the shooting of Mike Brown, it’s also bigger than Darren Wilson. Wilson was not some decorated hero in the Ferguson police force but he is now the symbol for white supremacy. What happens in this case will have huge implications in the future for the justice system, race relations and governance in our region. We will all have to answer the question posed to us in the old union song, “Which Side are You On?”

I'd hate to be defined only by the color of my skin.

Funny how they all leave out the “content of their character” bit these days.

“Better question, Why is the Brown Shirt Media so taken by the death of one thug?”

This is a technique pioneered by Stalin in the Saco and Vincetti hearing. He turned on the communist organizations in the US to use this trial as a means to show how unfair and racist America was. They did this again in the Zimmerman trial and attempted lynching. They’ll keep it up as it stirs the racist pot and keeps blacks voting Democrat.

All Brown had to do was move out of the road and let the police vehicle pass and this crap would’ve never happened. Oh and he just happened to have robbed a conveniece store earlier. But of course the facts don’t matter to a race baiter...

“.... Mike Brown was gunned down by Darren Wilson.....”

I call BS on that one.

Mike Brown, an extra large thug, in an attempt to forcibly get his way, effectively committed suicide by cop.

Good riddance says I!

BLACKS PROMOTING FEAR AS ACCEPTABLE, IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

Whites already live in fear. As a matter of fact the entire country is being held captive by fear. I think the more important question is fear of what?

Violence. Violence from blacks is a constant fear everywhere, all of the time. This is not a fear built out of fear of retaliation for some real injustice, it is a fear of senseless, irrational, indiscriminate violence that is so prevalent in the black communities — primarily against other blacks — so it is not motivated by retribution for injustice.

In the case of Ferguson, violence is being threatened if evidence and facts are contrary to the evil wishes of blacks. Yes, evil. Demanding that the rule of law be thrown out to appease a feeling of racial inequality is no different than indiscriminate hanging of blacks by the KKK.

Demanding “justice” by asking that the same injustices done to them, now be done to whites will not curry favor from anyone... nor result in the equity that is claimed to be desired. I proffer this anger and threats of violence will have the exact opposite effect.

Martin Luther King. Jr had a dream.

People like this person have morphed that dream in to a hate-filled, racist nightmare.

As tensions mount in anticipation of the grand jury announcement, we have to ask ourselves, “Why is an entire system working so hard to protect one cop?

Why?
Because its the right thing to do.
Because when large groups of people openly state that they are not interested in the law and justice and instead only want JUST US, its what must be done.
Because if Law Enforcement Officer are not allowed to defend themselves then who will want to be police officers? You might not really like what you end up with.

Nov 5th was the day after a major election when the POTUS Obama who could have completely dissassociated himself with racial strife in Ferguson Missouri and condemed it. Had instead met with the Ferguson protest group and offered support for protests by telling the group “To stay the course.”

That “course” was generated by Obama’s use of the “Bully Pulpit” and through surrogates in the black media and the MSM. Promoted the fiction of an “unarmed” shot in the back ( in the Ferguson case while surrendering with hands up as opposed to the Florida’s episode “because the “kid” was black and killed by a white man named Zimmerman) afro american teen just walking down the middle of a street..

Think there’s any connection as to what our fearless leader is doing and why he’s creating racial strife versus any attempt by congress to restore constitutional government (ie impeachment) ?

I guess that it takes a racist to accuse others of racism. They keep the “N” word alive and relevant...

The media is spouting their preferred view of the Mike Brown status quo.

There is an alternate reality where decent , law abiding Americans are getting sick of Black America turning a violent, gang banging thug who's vicious unprovoked assault on a police officer caused him to be shot to death in self defense into some sort of a false martyr and then rioting, looting and assaulting white people across the country as payback to “get justice for Mike Brown”

I’d say that they are actually rehabilitating the “N” word as the Black community resurrects, confirms and validates the very worst of the stereotypical views of Black people in America.

Since Ferguson especially, one consistent comment I have heard mentioned more and more is ,” why should we be ashamed of stereotyping many young urban black men as ignorant, violent, thieving gangsters and criminals and whitey hating racists when on a daily basis they do their level best to proudly proclaim and demonstrate to the world that they are ignorant, violent, thieving gangsters and criminals and whitey hating racists “

Have to say they have a point.

“Why is an entire system working so hard to protect one cop?”

Gee, I dunno. Maybe because he was just doing his job and Mike Brown was a bully perp running around in pot-fueled haze.

Facts and evidence don’t matter to these people. They will believe the “gentle giant, hands-up don’t shoot” meme to the end. They just want Wilson’s head on a platter. I’m sure some white Liberals would be happy to appease them, but ..... it won’t be enough. In fact, it would just be the beginning....

“Why is an entire system working so hard to protect one cop?” ........

First of all you dumb ass, that is why we have “innocent until proven guilty” in our laws. Officer Wilson was not out seeking someone to shoot. Hell, there were all kinds of targets available to him that morning.

Second, perhaps you should have asked, “Why is the black community working so hard to defend a thug who was and had broken the law”. (In case you missed it “Mr. Jammal”, your boy Mikey Brown was NOT AN ANGEL). Had Brown gotten his hands on that officers gun, things would have turned out completely different and we would have had to bury another police officer at the hands of a black shooter.

I have absolutely ZERO sympathy for Mike Brown, no matter what race his was. He got EXACTLY what he deserved.
