Nice try: that JQA quote was spoken in a time when a Marxist take over was not imminent. Today, JQA would say something more like this:
You were convinced it was the right thing to do because deep down, youre an arrogant narcissist who thinks a vote is about you - when a vote is no such thing. A vote is about stewarding the choices you are given, and Goode is not a real choice.
