Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Why the hell do you think you have the authority to determine what is the “right” way to worship G-d?

You won't find me doing that.

What I was speaking about was what God is worshiped.

You and I worship the same God, the Mormons worship a different god.

It's in their official writings that cannot be denied or disputed.

“As I said, I will do all in my power to help turn this around, and then as I am bid by the scriptures, I will wait on the arm of the Lord to be revealed.”

So am I understanding this correctly- you will rely on your own arm of the flesh to turn this around and then look to God after?

Tom is putting himself out there at cost to promote conservatism and constitutional government and you mock him for it. You also support a liberal and claim it a conservative thing to do.

That’s reality.

GOD and God alone (as Christ) absolutely judges us.

Really? And how do you know that?

And you give me a link as your proof? I have no time for links. I will say what is my heart as we are to sow HIS WORD in our heart.

1 Corinthians 2:15 "The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one."

That is because he is a RINO, all of you are RINOs all but the purists like you Sickoflibs, all but you.

Oh to be pure and RINO free. To be free from the baggage (or is it Phony TEA baggage) of RINOism. I get so confused late at night in my Romneybotism! I mean you can't both be a Tea Party person and a RINO, I mean how does that work,

Let's see. Ryan speaks at Tea Party events. He is a Tea Party favorite, according to the media(new and old) Yet he appears on a ticket with that Godless Mormon Bishop Romney RINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Even Sarah has endorsed that demon Romney, OH MY!

Perhaps, maybe, not so much RINO as realist and pragmatic? Perhaps? Perhaps not/

Once you go RINO, you never go back!

it is a different jesus.

A "different Jesus."

Oh, that is rich. And your argument about passing by Joseph Smith first is completely illogical and frankly irrelevent, you are so busy judging others. So you (and I) understand he's in for a shock at the free pass -- no Smith -- when he arrives directly in front of our Lord for judgement. Good for him! He's acknowledged Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He has lived as loving and moral a life as you or I, he has given back to God at every opportunity, and he has been led through some hoops to the same outcome by a false prophet. It's Smith I'd worry about if I were you, in such a position to judge as you find yourself. I believe in mercy for the merciful, as God teaches. And I pray you will receive as much mercy, forgiveness, and Love as God affords Romney or me.

I don’t know but I’m not voting for this dirty RINO bastard, regardless of religion:

If the Mormons quit voting with us we will never win another election, you are very short sighted

it astounds my that you stand with Obama by default!

Yes indeed. You’re supporting the most liberal governor in the history of the republic. That most definitely has consequences.

I remember when this site was all about fiscal conservatism. I long for those days.

I'm thinking you never heard a word Jim Robinson ever said. You're pining for a FreeRepublic.com that never existed.

Romney is a liberal and Ryan is now praising him as the solutions to our problems. What principles is that?

"Vote Mitt even though he stinks" would not be an effective campaign message so lying is mandatory.

He's not gonna love every depressing little blue collar town he visits either but he'll say he does. Lying is the mother's milk of politics. The truth is too harsh for the sheeple.

Cupcake, if this was a hate site, you’d know it. But in your zeal to elect a liberal, you are intent on dragging people through the mud. Are you by chance a plant from the SPLC?

But I do not expect logic from someone thinking the things you post.

No, it is not. You are confused. Jesus is Jesus is Jesus. Joseph Smith claims Jesus came over to the Americas. Same Jesus as the one on the Cross. SAME JESUS. You need to do some homework and quit being so judgemental.

I believe what Jeff is saying is that God expects people to act in whatever capacity they are able to act to participate in our communities, helping our neighbors, helping to elect moral leaders, take care of our families through work, using good hygiene to help ward off disease, and various other actions and deeds. But there comes a time, as well, when you've done all that you can and then you must "Let Go and Let God." Paul says to pray without ceasing. That doesn't mean to sit in a closet all day and literally do nothing but pray.

James 2:

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
